The Diocese of Eldoret has a mission and the mission encompasses the Anglican Community within and without this Diocese, in winning as many souls for Christ as God directs the path in pursuant to fulfilling the great commission of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to make disciples for the transformation of the world by proclaiming the good news of God's grace and by evangelizing the command of Jesus to make disciples of all for the Kingdom of God is at Hand.

Transition to Glory Announcement
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” — Psalm 116:15

It is with a heavy heart, yet with firm hope in the resurrection, that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Venerable Josphat Kipkemboi Bett.

Having journeyed through the Lenten season and witnessed the triumph of Easter Sunday, Ven. Josphat peacefully went to rest on the night of Sunday, 5th April 2025, at 10:00 PM.

While we mourn this great loss to the Church, we find strength in the words of Psalm 90:1-2:
"Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God."

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, the entire House of Clergy, and the Diocese at large. Let us stand together in prayer, seeking God’s comfort and peace during this time of mourning.

Details regarding his internment will be shared as they become available.
