When Abraham sat by his tent, the Lord visited him in a special way and brought a promise that changed his life. In that divine encounter, what seemed impossible became possible. As it is written, “Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you… and Sarah shall have a son” (Genesis 18:14). God’s visitation brought hope, renewal, and fulfillment.

Beloved, every morning is an opportunity to experience God’s presence in a fresh way. When you pray, “Lord, please visit us this morning,” you are inviting Him into your situation, your home, and your heart. His presence brings peace where there is trouble, strength where there is weakness, and answers where there are questions.

Like Abraham, expect God to visit you today. The same God who met him is able to meet you. As you open your heart in prayer, He will come with His blessings, guidance, and favor. Welcome Him, and let His presence transform your day and your life. 🙏✨

I urge you to find time to attend all the stewardship week of prayer sessions, invite family and friends, but above all, listen to the voice of God to you through His word that will be shared this week. I pray that you will allow God to work with you, this week going forward, to be grounded in His word and focused in His mission as we accomplish His mission here on earth in preparation for the soon return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

When the Israelites reached Marah after three days in the wilderness, they found water—but it was bitter and undrinkable. Their hope quickly turned into disappointment, and they complained against Moses. In response, Moses cried out to the Lord, and God showed him a piece of wood. When Moses threw it into the water, “the water became sweet” (Exodus 15:25). God did not remove the wilderness, but He transformed the bitterness within it.

Beloved, there are seasons when life gives you “Marah waters”—experiences that leave a bitter taste: betrayal, loss, delayed promises, unanswered prayers, or deep disappointment. You expected refreshment, but instead you found pain. God does not ignore your bitterness; He invites you to bring it to Him. What feels unbearable to you is not hidden from His sight.

Like Israel at Marah, the solution is not found in complaining but in crying out to the Lord. God showed Moses a tree, pointing us to His redemptive power—what is bitter can be healed when surrendered to Him. Allow God to touch the painful places of your heart. He can turn resentment into peace, grief into strength, and bitterness into a testimony. The same God who made the waters sweet can heal your soul and teach you to trust Him again, even in the wilderness. 🙏✨

# **WEDNESDAY—THE MIND OF CHRIST**
# **SABBATH SCHOOL LESSON COMMENTARY 3—UNITY THROUGH HUMILITY**

**BY PASTOR DANIEL HERRERA—TRANSLATED BY MARTHA CARR**

Welcome to *Bible Lessons*, a space to study and understand the Word of God. In seeking unity, Paul mentions a key point: **the mind of Christ**. To have the mind of Jesus—what was it that Jesus did? What was the attitude that led Him to be in unity with the Father? Today, join us for the topic titled **“The Mind of Christ.”**

Let us pray. Lord of heaven, we thank You because today we will learn how to have the mind of Christ, how to imitate Him in everything He did. In the name of Christ Jesus, amen.

Today’s story takes us to **1 Corinthians 2:16**:

“For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who can instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

Notice that Paul says, “Who has known the mind of the Lord?” Well—Christ, because the Lord came. “Who can instruct Him?” No one, because He is the God of the universe. But Paul says, “We have the mind of Christ.”

So, what was the mind of Christ? What did Christ do? How can we enter into His mind so we can think as He thought and act as He acted? The Bible gives us some guidance.

**1. Submission**

Let’s read Mark 1:35:

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went to a solitary place to pray.

Amazing. Now, if I were God on earth, I might say, “I don’t need to pray or read the Bible.” But that is exactly what human beings do. Every time we leave home without reading the Bible or praying, we act as if we were God. We refuse to take our place as creatures. God needs nothing — but **we** do. We need submission.

And that submission begins when we seek the Lord in prayer and Bible study.

**2. Obedience**

Let’s read Hebrews 5:8:

Although He was the Son, He learned obedience through suffering.

John 5 says that the Son of God is equal with God, yet it says He **obeyed**. He obeyed through suffering.GOD BLESS YOU

In the story of Moses and his , Aaron and Miriam, it is said that they did not like his wife because she was an Ethiopian. Was Miriam probably jealous of her beautiful sister-in-law? I mean, Ethiopian women are known for being beautiful. Anyway, the two siblings began questioning whether God really spoke through alone. Aaron was Moses' speaker because Moses spoke with a . Im wondering whether sibling rivalry was at play, or the two older siblings had never reconciled with the fact that Moses could amount to Much. Remember Moses was that guy who had ever gone missing from the hood because he killed a person. The bad kid of the family.

Now, Moses was not aware of the motive behind his siblings' animosity. But saw it and He summoned the three and executed quick judgement. Miriam was struck with leprosy. For a week she was unclean. Things were left to slide for Aaron. at play? 😄

My take home is: you may never know why you're facing some hostility.Your partner in crime may never get punished. There's no safety in numbers. Imagine! Above all, God sees. The way He executes is inexplicable. Did Aaron and Miriam ever come together to do mischief? I doubt.

When Hosea was called by God, his life became a living message of sorrow and love. He was commanded to marry Gomer, a woman who would be unfaithful to him, as a picture of Israel’s unfaithfulness to the Lord (Hosea 1:2). Everything around him spoke of betrayal, humiliation, and a broken home. His heart was wounded again and again as the one he loved ran after other lovers (Hosea 2:5). Yet God did not release him from love. Instead, He told Hosea to go and love her again, to redeem her and restore her, just as God longed to restore His wandering people (Hosea 3:1–3).

Beloved, when others hurt you, betray you, or turn away from your love, do not allow bitterness to define your heart. God sees your pain, and in your brokenness He reveals the depth of His own love and faithfulness. Even when you are rejected, you are never forgotten by Him.

Like Gomer, may we be drawn back by God’s mercy; and like Hosea, may we learn to love, forgive, and remain faithful, as a reflection of God’s unfailing love for His people. 🙏✨
