AFLEWO Beginnings…
The AFLEWO Project stems from Sing Africa’s continuing vision to bring hope in Jesus to Africa. It is an initiative
of the Daystar Sing Africa Alumni. Sing Africa is a Music Ministry that began in 1996 from a group of the then Daystar University students, with a vision of spreading Jesus as the Hope for Africa. In Isaiah 43: 1-2, the Lord speaks to His chosen people giving them assurance that He is God and there is no need to fear for He created us for a great purpose. We believe that this applies to all our nations of this great land that has over the years been called “The Dark Continent”. We raise a voice through Song, Dance and Testimony declaring Jesus is the light, the Hope and Lord! Over the last twelve years, since the inception of AFLEWO event in 2004, people from various walks of life, worshippers from various towns and representative missionaries from various countries have been able to congregate together, and on that one night lift the Name of our Lord in one voice on behalf of this great continent. What is the key purpose of the AFLEWO Program?
1. Create a “one body” experience.
2. Develop a culture of worship – living, participating & leading.
3. Inspire the pursuit of excellence in ministry… You will experience some of the typical experiences in ministry & we will expect you to strive for excellence.
4. Spur, growth; Spiritual & otherwise.
