🕊️ A HEARTFELT MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE 🕊️

We are deeply saddened by the tragic road accident that occurred along the Awasi–Ahero highway in Kisumu County, involving students from the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) who were travelling from Mombasa to Kisumu to attend the burial and give their final farewell to their former student leader and colleague, the late Elvis Otieno, popularly known as “Beast.”

What was meant to be a journey of solidarity, remembrance and farewell has turned into a moment of profound grief and sorrow.

As Evangelism Movement International (Mission Team), our heartbeat has always been to reach people through missions, charity and empowerment. We have a special place in our hearts for the young generation, and university students form an important part of the EMI FAMILY.

This tragedy therefore touches us deeply.

We mourn together with the families who have lost their loved ones, the students who have been injured, the friends and colleagues of those affected, and the entire TUM fraternity.

We pray for God's comfort upon every grieving family, strength for those walking through this painful moment, and speedy recovery for all those injured and receiving medical attention.

To the students and young people who were on that journey, we say: you are not alone. The nation mourns with you, and we stand with you in prayer.

May God grant eternal rest to those who have departed, comfort to their families, healing to the injured, and peace to everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

In times like these, we may not have the words to explain the pain, but we can stand together in love, prayer and compassion.
