*Merry Christmas* 🎄 🎄 & *Happy New Year 2024*
In the bible Mathew 1:18~25, Joseph realizes Mary being pregnant yet they haven't met! Joseph thinks of leaving Mary secretly.
The angel talks to Joseph informing him that Mary is pregnant as a result of the Holy Spirit and that Joseph shouldn't leave her. Joseph is also informed of the son to be born by Mary and the son is to be named **Jesus meaning he will save his people from their sin**
It happens so to fulfill which was prophesied by the prophets that the virgin will bear a child and his name will be called Emmanuel.
After the angel spoke to Joseph, he woke up from the sleep and did as he was instructed, he didn't leave Mary instead stayed with her and they bore their firstborn n named *Jesus*
Here it is clear Jesus was born to save people from their sin.
Before Jesus, God had sent John to witness of Jesus (The light of the world - John 8:12) as stated in John 1:6,7
John witnessed of Jesus as the lamp of God who takes the sin of the world John 1:29.
Jesus having taken the sin of the world, people which you n me are included, had to die to pay for the wages of sin. Thus he died n he was buried n rose up the third day.
Romans 4:25, states that Jesus was raised for our justification, implying that we are just people before God for He has justified us.
As celebrations are all over the world about the birth of Jesus, it's important to learn that He was born to save us from our sin which John testified that he did. After taking our sin, he died because of it, buried and rose up again for us to be justified & that's why we boldly say we are just.
However many church goers n believers of Jesus still profess how they are sinners though they are celebrating the birth of one who was born to save them from the very sin they are claiming to be having.
We celebrate the birth of Jesus for He has truly taken our sin making us the righteous of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
We should believe we are just, righteous and never ever say am a sinner.
Amen?
