READ the message from God specially sent to you as you begin life in a new month.

BUT NOW, thus says the Lord, He Who created you, and He Who formed you, Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt [to the Babylonians] for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba [a province of Ethiopia] in exchange for your release.

Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and people in exchange for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east [where they are dispersed] and gather you from the west.

I will say to the north, Give up! and to the south, Keep not back. Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth--

Lister’s Lesson

Bible Reading: Psalm 24:3-6
Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. Psalm 24:3-4

UNTIL JOSEPH LISTER came along, if you had an operation—any kind of operation—you had about a 50 percent chance of dying—even if the operation was a great success.

Lister, a British surgeon, studied what happened to patients after their operations. At that time (around 1860), doctors would operate in dirty rooms. The operating table, the rags they used to wipe up blood, and the sheets their patients slept on were probably dirty. Sometimes doctors even used the same dirty instruments to operate on several patients.

Lister changed all that. He insisted that his operating rooms be clean and the instruments be cleaned after every use. He also began to use a chemical called carbolic acid to clean instruments, wounds, and dressings.

Lister had discovered the importance of purity. You see, when doctors performed surgery in dirty conditions, germs would get into the patient’s body and cause infections. Sometimes those infections killed the patient. But Lister learned that if he could keep the operating room and the instruments clean, he could reduce the number of people who died after surgery. In fact, his efforts were so successful that, if you had an operation in his hospital, you had about an 85 percent chance of surviving.

What Lister discovered in operating rooms is also true in other ways. If impurities (like germs) get into your body, they can make you sick; they may even kill you. In kind of the same way, impurities in your heart and soul can also cause problems. That’s why God wants you to be pure. He knows that purity protects you from bad things like guilt and shame. He knows that purity can prevent a lot of sadness in your life.

Purity not only protects you from bad things, it also provides good things for you. The psalmist said that people who are pure “will receive the Lord’s blessing and have right standing with God their savior. They alone may enter God’s presence and worship the God of Israel” (Psalm 24:5-6). Purity produces peace with God and allows him to bless you in ways that he can’t bless you if your life isn’t pure.

Just as clean operating rooms and instruments made Joseph Lister’s patients a lot healthier, a clean heart and life will make you a lot healthier—and happier, too!

REFLECT: Why is it important to keep your heart and life clean? Is your heart pure? If not, how can you change that? If so, how do you think God helps you to keep it pure?
ACT: Each time you wash your hands this week, remember the importance of clean hands—and clean hearts.

PRAY: “God, I know that purity can protect me and provide many good things for me. Help me to experience your loving protection and provision by keeping myself pure.”

Christian Life
A young man sent this message to me in my inbox...
"I saw your post on ma********on, I never knew
ma********on can reduce someone, because for two (2)
years I have been involved in s*xual activities (having
s*x) with women. One day, I met a beautiful lady, we
went to her house to have s*x, as we are about doing
it, to my greatest surprise, she called my real name
"EZEKIEL" and I was shocked;
She said to me "do you think all the ladies in school are
human?" I replied, "Why did you say so?" And she
replied and said to me that "Ezekiel, do you know you
have great destiny?". I began to wonder because we
haven't met before, so she told me that she was sent
to collect my destiny, and I never knew she was an
agent of darkness.
She told me she loves me because I have a heart of
helping the poor, that I should never carry any girl in
this institution (fidei polytechnic Gboko Benue state)....
Pls help me sir. I gave him some piece of counsels and
prayed for him"
THE CONSEQUENCE OF FORNICATION IN CHRISTIAN
LIFE
There is a divine inheritance deposited in your life and
that's your "Birthright". O yes, your birthright is
precious, in fact it is who you are; and when it is taken
away, you become, nothing and worthless. Your destiny,
is your birthright, your glory, blessings, favor, Anointing
of God etc are your birthrights. Many has lost theirs just
because of 5 or 10 min pleasure of s*x.

Lest there be any fornicator or profane person, as Esau,
who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye
know how that afterwards, when he would have
inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no
place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with
tears. Hebrew 12:16-17.
Many are suffering today terribly in abject poverty, lack
and lots of spiritual problems due to the numerous
fornication they committed in the past. Listen; s*x is
not only physical, is more of spiritual, it deals with
covenants and the transfer of demons when it comes to
fornication.
Hey Brother, you are happy that you have slept with 3-5
of your girl friends, well congrats because you have
successfully entered into 5 different covenants. S*x is a
covenant. O yes, you enter into covenant with any
person you sleeps with; and when they are more than
1,2,3, etc your life cannot remain the same because the
demons behind those covenants won't spare you.

Some years back, a young man called me from Imo
State (Nekede Polytechnic) in Nigeria and he said
"please pray for me, it has been bad luck every time.
When others do something and succeed, when I try it
will result to failure"
Personally, I already know the cause, so I asked him,
"have you slept with any lady?" He said "yes". Listen:
You may commit fornication and cry for mercy, but what
you have lost, you may never recover them in your life
time.
It is easier to deliver a witch than a fornicator.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without
the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth
against his own body, 1 Corinthian 6:18. Know ye not
that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God
dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God,
him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy,
which temple ye are. 1 Corinthian 3: 16-17.
Young lady, the day you slept with that your boy friend,
you didn't only lose your birthright but you also defiled
and destroyed the temple of God in your life. The
consequences of fornication are so numerous but I will
stop here.
Please wait till you gets married before having s*x, and
if you are married, be faithful. Avoid Fornication and
Adultery, they are wickedness before God. Having s*x
with someone you are not married to is not fun, but
fornication. beware!!!
THE CONSEQUENCE OF MA********ON IN CHRISTIAN
LIFE
Ma********ng is an act of opening a door for the demons
to dwell. Whenever you commenced into ma********ng;
to close such door will definitely seem impossible.
Because you will tried all possible means to closed it
based on your own self will-power but it will later
relapse because you can't; i mean none can overcomes
ma********on based on self-will-power.
The only way to overcome this horrible act is by taken
the fight into spiritual realm because the powerful
demons called spiritual wife and husband who has been
set-loosed will never like to divorce his prey. You might
tends to used your self-will power against the urges
and subdue it for several months and even year; but it
wouldn't last because the urges will definitely comes
one day and consumed you.

When this is done; such person will see him/herself in
regret and discourage because he has just broken his
promise and can't longer trust him/herself due to lack
of self-denial and dependent on self-will-power. The
devil is a cunning evil spirit and the most patient
element. He knew how to get believers and trap them in
cobweb of immoralities and such victory can only be
accomplished when the believer lost his/her prayer life.
The first attack on every believer is for Satan to steal
their prayer life. Whenever your prayer life becomes trap
or stolen; such person will becomes a football at the
hand of devil. However; the only way-out or overcoming
ma********on is by putting Jesus Christ as your Armor,
garment and battle axe through consistence prayer and
self denial.
Every problem or sin has a cause and originator and it
very unfortunate that many believers tend to cast this
cause upon Satan. Many believers are so adamant and
act ignorantly; that is why they always blamed Satan
for their silly mistake instead of finding a solution to
their problem been cause due to carelessness.
My sincere prayer is for God to delivered and rescue as
many who are trap in this perpetual bo***ge and self-
tyrant of ma********on. Nevertheless; please don't
forget, to conquer this disgusting habit there is always
needful of consistence PRAYER and SELF-DENIAL and
not your SELF WILL-POWER.

Without Christ; remember you can't do anything
because the flesh is very weak and Christ is the bedrock
of your Christian faith, salvation and hope in glory.
Therefore; please stop fighting physically based on self-
will but rather takes the battle spiritually by leaning on
Christ through consistence prayer.
Likewise also, don't give-up because it might be too
late for Satan to return back to heaven or be called an
angel but it never too late for you to become a saint.
And i believe and pray that Jesus Christ shall surely
broke that yoke of self-tyrant from your life and get the
demonic door closed in Jesus name.

Oh God,
Who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the gift of the same divine spirit,we may have a right understanding in all things , and ever rejoice in his holy consolation, through Jesus Christ our lord.

The life of the Christian is a journey.
There are ups, downs, and unexpected turns.
Though we may go ON and OFF, one dangerous thing we don’t have to fall for as Christians, is to go backwards spiritually. When we backslide, we go blind spiritually.
Backsliding refers to going backwards spiritually and morally.
Backsliding is when a born-again Christian turns back to sin and refuses to submit to the will of God in his life. The actions that we see from that person,are only symptoms of the real problem. The person's heart becomes hardened against God's word.
In Revelation chapter 2: verse 4-5, the Bible says
"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place"
Luke 22: 31 says,
"Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat;
Galatians 1:6 says,
I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;
Galatians 4: 9-11 says,
"But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again? You observe days and months and seasons and years. I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored over you in vain."
1st Corinthians chapter 5 verse 1-13 says
"It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father's wife. You have become arrogant and have not mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be removed from your midst. For I, on my part, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present....."
2nd Timothy 1-15 says
"You are aware of the fact that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes".
Backsliding is just like living a carnal life.
You act upon your own desires and devices as opposed to God's will
Let's read I Corinthians 3:3 and Proverbs 14:14.
The lapse may start from a minor ungodly advise from a friend and sometimes unintentional sources.
If a christian neglects God by not praying, reading the Bible, and keeping his focus on living for God, he automatically backslides.
On the other hand, a believer may deliberately choose to indulge in sinful pleasures.
This type of backsliding can carry disastrous consequences.
It brings dishonor to the One who laid down His life for us, Jesus Christ.
It also saddens and bring grief to the lives of the loved ones of the backslider.
The backslider himself will suffer from guilt or even a feeling of despair or condemnation.
God Himself says: "My soul ABHORRETH him that turneth BACK!"
One reason why God gets so angry with backsliders is that they become such a terrible testimony .
They don't backslide alone.
They always take others with them.
The backslider is a REAL SOUL WINNER for the DEVIL.
The backslider has always got the most convincing arguments to justify his sinful actions and to persuade others to do the same so he can defend his OWN backsliding.
They always loudly murmur, complain and criticise and proclaim their doubts and fears to all who will listen, especially the already weak and wavering, particularly babes and beginners in the Gospel.
As Jesus Himself said, they'll compass the World to convert one person to their cause, and then make him more of a child of Hell than they are themselves. Mat.23:15 .
Backsliders become the Gospel's worst enemies and the most diabolical traitors.
Like Judas, they do not only backslide, but they also have to fight and betray you to prove they're no longer ONE of you.
To try to get reaccepted by the Satanic System of Sin , they now LEAD a fight against the Gospel because they become so ashamed that they were once a "fool" enough to be one of you.
They become the Gospel's most dangerous enemies because they know the Gospel and the operation of Messengers of God so well!
This is why God goes after them so hard with such severe punishment to try to get them to repent and come back to him before they do too much damage.
God sometimes wields the heaviest rod on the backs of His OWN children when they backslide because they KNOW BETTER and are WITHOUT EXCUSE!
Then if they do not soon repent, God usually DESTROYS them so they can do no further harm!
BACKSLIDERS suffer in the hands of an ANGRY GOD!
Let's take Ananias and Saphira for instance. They died immediately they lied against the servant of God in the Acts of the Apostles.
We should be very careful in our Christian walk. A backslider can never make it unless he returns to the Lord and his service.
If a backslider do repents and returns to God, God will expect MORE of him than He did BEFORE to undo the DAMAGE he has done.
God respects him to work harder and more faithfully than ever before to PROVE his loyalty, which has become somewhat doubtful and untrustworthy from past experience.
The TRUST that was once placed in a backslider by GRACE will now have to be EARNED by WORKS to the UTMOST to prove to God that, he will no longer be a traitor and will no longer backslide.
A backslider will find it very hard to restore people's confidence in him once he has lost it.
People become afraid to trust him again unless he proves to the UTMOST that he is WORTHY of it.
It's a hard road back for the backslider!
That is the reason why they do not most at times come back.
It is so easy to backslide but so hard to return
Yet the Lord says He's "married to the backslider"
In Jeremiah 3:14 God begs the wicked to forsake his wicked ways and promises to FORGIVE him if he'll only turn from his sins, which He promises to wash away and make him whiter than snow!
So if the backslider DOES make it and DOES return to the Lord and His Service, he will usually make one of the BEST men you've ever had, because he'll do his best to PROVE that he can make it, and work harder at it than almost anyone else, for which God will even seem to bless him sometimes more than others.
God does not condemn us when we backslide.
Our own wickedness and backsliding condemn us. (Jeremiah 2:19)
Jesus also did not come to condemn us, he came to give us life abundantly (John 10:10).
Therefore, if we will confess our sins, God will forgive us(I John 1:9).
We must accept God's forgiveness and then forgive ourselves too.
We must forgive those who have wronged us. We must go to anyone we have wronged or resented and ask their forgiveness.
A backslider must make restitution in whatever ways he can for any wrongs his backsliding has caused.
If you are not baptized with the Holy Spirit, ask for and receive it (Luke 11:13). Then grow in Jesus and the way of the Lord. The Holy Spirit gives a Christian the ability to overcome sin.
He gives power to be a Christ-like person. He guides, comforts, teaches spiritual truth, and equips with the gifts and qualities of God (Acts 1:8;John 14:16; I Corinthians 12;Galatians 5:22,23).
AMEN
Let us pray
Father in heaven, we thank you for your word.
We surrender our lives to you.
We arrest every seed of evil knowledge and advise that has made us to backslide. We curse it from the source with the blood of Jesus.
We throw away the clutches of backsliding and spiritual entanglements.
Let your hidden grace continue to pour on us.
Amen.
