Today we remember Good Friday — a day of sacrifice, love, and redemption.
Jesus paid the ultimate price on the cross so that we could receive forgiveness and new life. What looked like defeat became victory, and through His wounds, we are healed.
"By His stripes we are healed." — Isaiah 53:5
Let this day remind us to reflect, repent, and embrace His unfailing love.

OUR HERO HAS GONE HOME
It is with deep sorrow and yet grateful hearts that we announce the demise of our hero, our matriarch, our spiritual father, and God’s General, Rev. Festus Mutegi.
His passing has come as a shock to us—the Baptist Convention of Kenya, Mt. Kenya Region (Chuka Association), Kiang’ondu Baptist Church, and the entire Mbogori family.
Rev. Festus Mutegi was one of the pioneer founding fathers of Baptist churches in Mt. Kenya East. He lived a life of faith, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel. Today, we celebrate a father of faith whose life was truly worthy of living and worthy of emulation.
Burial Arrangements
📍 Rev. Mutegi will be laid to rest on 13th February 2026 at his home in Kiang’ondu Village.
⛪ A funeral service will be held at Kiang’ondu Baptist Church.
Fellowship & Meetings
Family, friends, and well-wishers are meeting daily at his home in Kiang’ondu Village, near Fr. Airland Primary School, starting at 3:00 p.m. prompt.
Indeed, he deserves a befitting send-off.

We take this moment to sincerely appreciate you, our Pastor, for your faithful service, dedication, and love for God’s people. Your commitment to preaching the Word, praying for the flock, and leading by example has been a great blessing to our church and our families.

Through challenges and seasons of joy, you have remained steadfast, humble, and obedient to God’s calling. Your teachings have strengthened our faith, your counsel has guided us, and your life has inspired us to walk closer with Christ.

We encourage you to remain strong and courageous, knowing that “your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58). May the Lord renew your strength, grant you wisdom, and reward you abundantly for every sacrifice you have made for His kingdom.
