Bishop Rose Okeno has expressed her gratitude to the Diocese of Butere ACK-sponsored schools for their outstanding performance in the 2025 KCSE national examination results. She commended the teachers for their hard work and dedication in imparting knowledge and shaping students into responsible members of society.

During a breakfast fellowship with the school principals on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, held at st. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere, Bishop Rose encouraged them to continue guiding students in their spiritual and academic journeys.

ACK St. Barnabas Shinamwenyuli Secondary School held a thanksgiving service on Thursday, January 22, 2026, to celebrate their outstanding 2025 KCSE results.

The service, held at the school grounds, brought together students, teachers, parents, and form four class of 2025 to express gratitude for their remarkable achievements, which included producing the top student not only in Butere sub-county but also across Khwisero, Matungu, Mumias East, and Mumias West Sub-counties.

Butere Girls High School students celebrated with songs and dances upon the arrival of a new school bus, funded by the Constituency Development Fund office. The festivities commenced at Sabatia market, where the students received the bus and ceremoniously escorted it to the school grounds.

The Member of Parliament for Butere constituency, Tindi Mwale, officially delivered the bus to the school, presenting the logbook to the newly appointed School Principal, Linda Zalo. This event marked a significant advancement in enhancing the educational opportunities and logistical capabilities of the institution.

The Abashirotsa Council of Elders in Butere Sub-county has commended the initiatives undertaken by the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Butere, which have significantly enhanced the livelihoods of the community.

They expressed their gratitude to Diocesan Bishop Rose Okeno for her exemplary leadership in launching programs that have positively impacted widows and established safe spaces for girls within the community.
