Part 8 (16/4/26)
Religion tells you it's your good deeds that will give you an entry into heaven. This is not true.

Christianity tells you receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour is the number one qualification to qualify for heaven. Good deeds will be rewarded in heaven but good deeds are not a qualification to enter heaven. You can be someone of good deeds but Will miss heaven if you haven't received Jesus. Jesus is the only way, truth and life (John 14:6).

Death is the way of everyone at some point. It's more joyous to celebrate one who is dead knowing that he died while knowing Jesus and that he has secured a place in eternity..

Apostle Paul of the Bible encourages us that when your loved one (especially one who knew Jesus and received Him as a personal saviour) dies, people should not mourn like those without hope. It's not bad to mourn, but you mourn like the one that has hope.

Look at this scripture here: Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Hallelujah! At the end of the day death becomes a blessing because as one (especially who knew Jesus), transitions into another life where there's no more suffering waiting for the day of the Lord. Wow! What a joy!!

It becomes more joyous when the person knows the Lord (has received Jesus as their Lord) and has accomplished their purpose on earth- has lived their life in full.

The death of a faithful servant is very pleasant in the sight of the Lord (psalm 116:15)

This powerful ministration of the hymn: It's so sweet to Trust in Jesus by STLC worship team is amazing. Let me give a background and origin of the song. Very TOUCHING. After you read the background, you'll stop treating some of these songs casually.

The hymn “It’s So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” has a deeply personal and inspiring origin rooted in Christian faith and experience.

Origin & Background
The lyrics were written by Louisa M. R. Stead in the late 19th century. The story behind the hymn is quite powerful:
Louisa Stead and her husband were once having a picnic with their daughter near the beach (often said to be in the Long Island area).
They heard cries from the water—a young boy was drowning.
Louisa’s husband rushed in to save him, but tragically, both he and the boy drowned.
This devastating event left Louisa a widow with a young child. In the midst of grief and uncertainty, she leaned heavily on her faith in Jesus Christ. Out of that season of pain and trust, she wrote the hymn as a testimony of relying on God even when life is difficult.

Part 6 (9/4/26)
Religion tells you, "it's not possible to live a sinless life." Christianity on the other hand tells you, "it's possible to live a sin free life through Christ Jesus."
I promised to lay emphasis on this scripture at a later date and the date has come. After these things Jesus finds him in the temple and says to him, "Behold, you have become well. Sin no more, that something worse should not happen to you." (John 5:14).

Have you ever heard people ask, "if truly it's God that has healed him/her, why did the condition return? Why did the symptoms return or rather manifest again? I thought God's healing is permanent?"

Well, I will answer this question with a question. When you go to the doctor to be treated do you still become sick even after becoming well? Let me ask well. Do people still fall ill even after medications? Do they still exhibit the symptoms even after getting well?

The answer is Yes and No. No, to those that will follow the prescription and dosage well. Yes to those that won't follow the prescription and dosage well or simply get another disease or different illness not because they failed to follow the prescription but the nature of mortal bodies and/or the environment surrounding.

The reason why Jesus had to remind this man at the temple that he should sin no more was (according to me) that he doesn't provide a legal ground for the infirmities to return. Are you aware that there are sicknesses/infirmities that are as a result of sinful lifestyle. Since Jesus had made him well (healed him) and he was well aware this man's infirmities were as a result of sin, he warned him not to return to such a life as he risked attracting the infirmities back.

So, yes, it's possible for infirmities to return to you even after healing from God days/weeks or even months after healing. A basic explanation is this: Mutua goes to visit his grandmother from Lake Victoria basin (Nyanza region) and contracts Malaria following the effect (bite) of anopheles mosquito. He returns home (Ukambani) well but a few days later malaria symptoms manifest. It becomes so worse, he's admitted at the hospital. Fortunately, the doctors administers appropriate medication and gets well.

Has the person been made well? Yes. Suppose he returns to his grandmother again without taking risk measures for example prophylaxis (for scientists who believe in it), will he still be susceptible to contracting malaria? Oh, yes.

Question, can Mutua contract malaria again? Yes. Does it mean that because he has contracted malaria, the prior medication never worked? No. It worked but this relapse is as a result of going back to the same environment that contributed to his earlier state.

Am very much sure, there are several people who Jesus healed and because some lacked this knowledge, their conditions returned. Have you not heard of this scripture: when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it walks through "dry places" (often interpreted as deserts or arid, uninhabited areas) seeking rest. Finding none, it returns to the person ("my house"), finding it empty, swept, and garnished. The spirit then brings seven more wicked spirits, making the person's final state worse than the first. (Math 12:43-45).

Christianity is about manifesting God here on earth. Part of the way to manifest God is living a sin free life.
Don't say it's not possible to live a sinless life. It's possible as far as Jesus finished it on the cross...

Part 6 (7/4/26)
Here's another reason why...
Do you know that there are illnesses/sicknesses/diseases/infirmity that could be a judgement from God?
Let's have a look at this particular instance when Paul rebuked the sorcerer whose name was BarJesus in Acts 13:10-11.
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season." (KJV)

Notice this is a judgement and unless one repents (and God has mercy on them) such conditions may not go away. Remember repenting in this case means asking for forgiveness and changing your ways. It's not just asking for forgiveness. It does not stop at asking forgiveness but also turning away from those things.

Forgiveness is an insurance policy that God gave to us as his beloved. There might be situations/things in your life that are as a result of your unrepented lifestyle that's an abomination before God's eyes.

Forgiveness and availability of grace isn't a license to sin. No one BORN of God continues to sin because God's seed is in him (1 John 3:9). Jesus Christ (in you) will make you shy away from every form of ungodliness. However, since we're not immune to sin, in case you realize that you have sinned, quickly ask for God's forgiveness. Note this: this form of sinning talked of in 1 John 3:9 isn't deliberate no wonder the writer says no one BORN of God continues to sin. You don't continually sin deliberately with the hope that God will continually forgive you. Christian life isn't complicated- it's an easy yoke- Jesus yoke is easy. Tell Jesus, "I have received you and I want you to help me in this walk of faith, help me to shun all forms of ungodliness - let me live for you always."

There's nothing sweet as approaching the throne of God in prayer with so much confidence because you know He's your father and He hears you. Do you realise that when you have sinned you're always feeling condemned in your heart,?- the confidence gets lost. In fact the more you want to approach God the more you feel He's far away from you. That's why there's provision for forgiveness. Asking for forgiveness is a therapy by itself. It helps you pour your heart to God and helps you stand confidently before your maker.

Religion tells you that you need to give a certain form of sacrifice or a giving in order to be forgiven. Christianity on the other hand tells you, "it only requires you to ask for forgiveness from God from wherever place you're and you will obtain it. You don't have to offer any form of sacrifice to be forgiven. Just ask for it and it will be done unto you because Christ paid a great price for all your sins at the cross.

The series Continuoooo (2/3/26) - PART 5,,,,,,,,,
A story is given of a woman who was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors gave her a report that clearly stated that she will not go beyond 3 months - that she had 3 months to live. What do you expect with such a report? Fear of course.

Why do I bring up this story? To help us understand another reason why many usually cannot tap into the divine healing from God. Do you know fear is an opposing force against faith? That's why Peter when fear creeped in, he started sinking. He started well with a lot of faith wanting to walk on water and follow Jesus but fear caused him to start sinking. What's the difference? Why is it that when he started he was walking on water towards Jesus? Why didn't he just finish the course he started?

The answer is simple: FEAR.
Fear is one of the greatest devices that the enemy uses against you. Did I finished the story of that woman? Well let me finish. The woman upon hearing that she has 3 months to live, she said to herself, "I will not watch myself languish and wait to d!e." Of course she knew the doctors report is valid and there was nothing the doctors would have helped to change the situation. She thought to herself the only way is to seek a higher intervention.

She sat down and thought of the many people Jesus healed of their infirmaties. She thought of the scripture that says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." And that if He did it then, he can do it today.

She made it an aim to look for scriptures of the Bible that talked about healing. She took a pen, wrote all of them on a piece of paper and sticked them all around her room. Do you know why she did this?

She wanted to change the environment around her. It was a counter measure for fear. She wanted to surround herself with what will give her hope and life as opposed to doctor's report of fear.

Listen, I am not disqualifying the work the doctors do because they're on Jesus side. Doctors have treated so many people and gotten well thus they're on Jesus Side. Jesus wants people well and so doctors are doing Jesus work. Am just implying that if you must get certain things and desires from God, you have no option but start reasoning like Him- that's faith. So, in a daily basis, the woman would read the scriptures aloud that were all over her room. She would read aloud and speak to herself, "I will not die but live to declare God's goodness in the land of living." "I am more than a conqueror " "Jesus Christ paid for my healing, by his stripes am healed." "My body is the temple of the Holy spirit and therefore sicknesses and diseases have no room"

Guess what? After a period of two months with continued confessions of positives words from the word of God, she went and tested and was found to be cancer free.

Look at that! Who does that? A believer that understands how to take his position. Do you know that the Bible records in John 6:63 that the words I speak to you are spirit and life. Those were Jesus words. Do you know that 1 John 4:17 says as he's so are in this world? Yes. If that's the case then, it means because as He's is we're then it means even our words too are spirit and life just like Jesus words are. The same way Jesus words would be effectual while speaking healing to you, the same way your words ought to be when you speak to yourself coz you're like Him.

Here's the catch, because of religion and religious minds, many people fail to tap into this privilege. There are people who however much you tell them that you can ask healing from God by simply confessing his word, they will ignore and say, "there's nothing like that." Interestingly, these people are Christians. One thing with God is that He will manifest Himself to you to the level of how you understand Him. Do you believe first that he can do that thing you're trusting him for?

Someone will say but we usually believe that he can do it but we have never seen it happen. Brother, sister persist! You remember the story of the woman I gave above, it took her two months of daily confessing scriptures of life upon her life. She was consistent. The dosage required for her to be well had to take two continued months of confessions. Do you realise the doctors give you different dosages of different drugs and failure to take may result in relapse? She didn't give up on the first day or week. She continually confessed and said it loud to herself. The words soon became a life giving spirit and what she confessed became. The body could not handle sickness any more because a force had been created that by default repelled the unwanted. Persistence is part of faith, you believe that no matter the surroundings, it must happen, you must be well. Hallelujah!

During the Busia mission, I had focused so much on the healing ministry and there are a lot of things I learnt first hand. I came and understood later why one of my mentors in the healing ministry, Pastor Chris OYAKHILOME developed healing schools.

I used to wonder in the past what is the need for a healing school. Does it even make sense? I came to understand later that it's very key and important. In fact, PASTOR CHRIS says, it's an idea God instructed him to actualize. Do you know why it's necessary? So that people are taught about faith, the power of words, how to receive and maintain your healing using biblical references etc. Listen, just like the doctors sit you down and tell you the do's and don'ts while administering medication, it's necessary that some people are taught over and over again regarding the same. Otherwise...

There comes a time when one says, "k**a mbaya mbaya" like that woman. She told herself, I refuse to believe the report of the doctors. Yes it's true in the physical and in the eyes of man but not in God's eyes. I will cling and believe God's report. His report is different.

I am fond of confessing and declaring to myself,"I will not die before my time, I must accomplish God's purpose." Someone may see you making such a declaration and say, "you're very stupid and arrogant." I wonder where's stupidity or arrogance in confessing the truth (God's word). My brother, sister, confess God's word daily. Have it as an antidote for every season. The word of God is cure.

Listen, God already gave you the mandate. Do not cry to him saying, "God come heal me, I am dy!ng." Sister you will d!e and God will remain to be God. It will not change the fact that He's the God of all creation. He expects you to stand your ground and say, "thank you Lord because I obtain mercy and healing in you. They're already secured in you. I receive my healing na sibanduki. It might not happen that day, keep pressing on. Stand on that word, claim it again and again and again. Persist Persist.

The Series Continuoooo,,,,,, (31/3/26)

Following practical experiences (especially during my 1.2 years mission) and scriptures, I carried a number of lessons on matters receiving healing from God. I will lay them down in bits but today I will highlight two The others will follow later on.

There are different dynamics that determine whether one receives healing from God or rather why some may not receive healing from God.

It's important to first put it out straight that faith is a prerequisite for divine healing from God- without faith it's not possible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). You notice that Jesus would often ask, "what do you want me to do for you?" And statements like "go your faith has made you well." At some point He also told the disciples "I have never seen such a faith in Israel" referring to the man who told him to just speak a word over his daughter. Faith is like a medium that effects spiritual realities into the physical realm.

Divine healing from God is just like it's when a doctor administers treatment. It's not that every patient gets well? Depending on how your body will respond to treatment administered, your wellness is not guaranteed. Again it narrows down to the specifics. For example, do you realize when the doctor prescribes medication and you fail to take the right dosages, you are likely not to respond well?

In fact there are many people who go to the hospital with the hope that they'll get well, but not everyone gets well, some die even after medication prescription and administration. Just because your body didn't respond to the medication does it disqualify the doctor that has been treating other patients and they get well for years? Absolutely no.

Therefore, it's all dependent on how you'll apply your faith before, during and even after healing.

Have you ever asked yourself why Jesus, when he met the man he had healed he told him, "see you have been made well, do not go into sinning lest something worse happens to you." (John 5:14). This is a story of another day, I will explain this later. But in a very brief elaboration, as a person who has received healing from God you have a responsibility to keep your miracle otherwise you'll lose it. In the same way a patient that fails to follow a prescription by the doctor is likely to return to his former symptoms.

Number two, different people have different graces operating in their lives.

As much as we're all born again, operating in the Godly grace and equal to everything coming from God, we all operate at different graces and Levels. Well, I am a strong advocate of the fact that Jesus paid the price on the cross for anything and everything for our stay here on earth and a life to come. The Bible records that "all things are yours" (1 Corinthians 3:21-23). This "all things" include your health and wellbeing. As a born again person you have the right to health and wellbeing courtesy of the price Jesus paid for you on the cross. But how come it does work for others and it fails for others?

The level of grace, knowledge, and revelation you have regarding God determine whether you'll actualize the promises of God. What level of truth do u have regarding your healing/health. Do you even believe that when you lay your hand on a sick person or speak a word they'll be made whole? You must have made it a reality in your life. Otherwise, it will just be empty words.

Do You know that the Bible encourages us to speak out our health by our own mouths and it shall be. In other words, the Bible encourages you to speak to yourself wellness when you note your body isn't feeling well. Your body has ears it will hear.

The series Continuoooo,,,,,
Religion will question: if really God gave you the grace to heal or walk in miracles, why don't you then heal everyone. How come that some are healed or rather get the miracle while others do not. Since that's not happening then you're not Godly.

This is exactly what religion has put in the minds of the people.

Christianity on the other hand acknowledges the fact that healing or rather walking in the miraculous grace is not a one man show. It's the grace from God to humanity using humanity. And that Faith is a prerequisite to getting anything from God.

There are several dynamics that determine whether someome will receive healing of any kind.

Do you know that you may be praying for someone who actually the condition they're in is God's will for them to welcome them home without losing them to hell? It's not that it's God that gave them the disease but he allowed it. I know someone is already wondering how a Good God can allow someone to be struck by a disease to welcome them home - heaven. Can that be a good God?

Listen, at one point I heard our teacher Amb Dr John CW give a story about Apostle Arome Osayi (one among men of God that Inspires me) say, "A woman sent for me to raise her dead girl, and before going I got into a short prayer."

Apostle Arome says that while in the prayer closet God told him, "when you raise her you're on your own, it's not my will; why do you want to go and raise her from the dead yet I have been looking for a chance to secure this girl for heaven for the longest time?"
It surprised me, "Arome says." Apparently she had just gotten born again and received Jesus as her saviour. Arome adds, "God told me if you raise her back to life and she fails to make it to heaven the day of her death maybe because she went back into her sinful life, I want you to know her blood will be on your head."

Arome says he has raised other dead people from the dead but only if God tells him to do so.

Good People do you now get my positive argument? Look, you might have served God very faithfully for a long time, you've been a very good person in the community or society. God in His own wisdom, he foresees that there's an incidence coming in future that may make you miss heaven. You see heaven and hell is a matter of life and death. As a way to save you for your faithfulness, he will allow you to succumb to that illness on a death bed so that at the time of your demise, you're wholly connected to him.

By the way do you realize that in the moment of pain, anguish, suffering you're usually left with no option but put all your trust in God - looking up to him that he's the only one that has your help. Everything on earth seizes to make sense to you. Do you realize again when someone is critically ill that's when they remember God and becomes closer than any other time?

So, in my judgement like Apostle Paul of the bible judged a matter on marriage, I feel that some sicknesses/deaths are a blessing to someone (the person/victim). Why? The outcome is that they'll die in a state of total surrender to God and thus will die wholly in God thus will make it to heaven (especially if they are born again).

As opposed to someone who dies accidentally in an accident etc without preparation, an ailing person has time to prepare for his departure and make his ways straight with God just in case his ways aren't straight. No wonder there are scriptures like : precious in the sight of God is the death of his saints (Psalms 116:15). Imagine God calling his loved one who has died as something precious!!! Ironically, here on earth, people are mourning and crying for their loved ones. God on the other hand is calling it precious!!!

I feel that it's for this reason, God had told King Hezekiah through Isaiah to put his house in order for he was going to die (2Kings 20:1). God had foreseen the future that Hezekiah would give birth to a son that will cause havoc in the land of Israel. Hezekiah's plea to God for additional years saw him give birth to one of the worst kings Israel ever had- one that defiled the name of God in ways never imagined. So, could it have been that God was trying to save him (Hezekiah), his people and Israel community when he wanted him home at that time?

That's a question to ponder good People.

Now in Part 4, I will explain some (not all) of the reasons why not everyone you may pray for gets healed. In my little experience by God's grace, there are several live and practical lessons I learnt and continue learning...
