NATIONAL CATHOLIC YOUTH COUNCIL PLANNING & CONSULTATION MEETING

The National Catholic Youth Council Planning and Consultation Meeting was held from 31st August to 3rd September, 2026 at Tabor Hills, Nyahururu Diocese, within the Ecclesiastical Province of Nyeri.

The meeting was led by the Chairman of the Commission for Youth Apostolate, Rt. Rev. Henry Juma Odonya, together with the National Executive Secretary, Rev. Fr. Cosmas Mwova.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the election of new National Catholic Youth Council leaders, which was successfully conducted yesterday. Today, the newly elected leaders were officially commissioned into service during Holy Mass, presided over by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Henry Juma Odonya.

As the new leaders begin their mandate, we entrust them to God's guidance and wisdom. May the Holy Spirit strengthen them as they serve and accompany young people in the Church.

We pray for them as they discharge their responsibilities and mandates. May God bless them, guide their service, and bless everyone who participated in this important gathering.

YCA Music Festivals – Musikoma Youth Centre, Bungoma.

Today, the Young Catholic Adults (YCA) held their Music Festivals at Musikoma Youth Centre. The event brought together young Catholic adults to celebrate their faith through music, nurture their talents, strengthen fellowship, and promote active participation in the life and mission of the Church.

The festival provided a platform for talent development, evangelization, creativity and unity among young Catholic adults, while encouraging them to use their gifts in service of the Church and society.

CWA KIBABII DEANERY ANIMATED MASS

The CWA Kibabii Deanery animated Mass was held at St. Augustine Mabanga Major Seminary to mark and celebrate the feast of St. Augustine, the patron saint of the Seminary.

The celebration brought together CWA members, clergy, seminarians, and the faithful in a spirit of prayer, fellowship, and thanksgiving. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rt. Rev. Cleophas Oseso, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru, who encouraged the faithful to emulate the virtues of St. Augustine, particularly his deep faith, conversion, love for God, and commitment to serving the Church.

The celebration provided an opportunity for the CWA Kibabii Deanery to strengthen its faith, deepen fellowship, and continue supporting the mission of the Church and the formation of seminarians.
