Occupy Till I Come - Money Matters
The command "occupy till I come" (Luke 19:13) is a call to active, purposeful stewardship. It means you should not passively wait for Christ's return, but rather take care of business—using your God-given gifts, resources, and influence to advance His kingdom and do His work until He comes back.
The parable of the ten minas (Luke 19:11-27) yields several actionable lessons for daily life and spiritual growth
1.Active Stewardship Over Passivity "Occupy" means to do business. It requires you to multiply what God has given you—your time, talents, and treasures—rather than hiding them out of fear.
2.Accountability for Resources
Everyone has been given a measure of grace and opportunity. The master expects a return on his investment, and you will ultimately be held accountable for how you managed what was entrusted to you.
3.Consistency in Your Assignment
You are called to remain on duty in your specific place of service. Avoid comparing yourself to others or chasing assignments not meant for you.
4.The Certainty of His Return
The phrase "till I come" underscores that this present life is temporary. Living with the expectancy of Christ’s return provides comfort and a continuous motivation to live purposefully.
What are you doing today with what God has given you?
