Today's Word of God
See what kind of love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the sons of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know him.
Dearly loved ones, we are now the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we will be, but we know that when he appears, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.
And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
1 John 3:1-3
Note: 3:3 Those who hope to become like Christ when He comes will want to be like Him now. The process of becoming like Him has already begun (2 Cor 3:18; Col 3:9-10), and real believers will cooperate with God in this work of purification. Compare Heb 12:14.⚜
