Today's Word is PEACE

> "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27

Why this word for today, Sunday:

The world gives peace when everything is going right. God's peace comes in spite of what is going wrong. In Church or Home this Day whatever worries you woke up with - bills, family, work - this verse says you don't have to carry a troubled heart.

It's not just the absence of noise. It's calm in the middle of it.

AGC KENYA CHURCH LEADERSHIP.

The Africa Gospel Church Kenya family celebrates a significant milestone in the life of the Church. Following the Central Church Council meeting held from 17th–19th August 2026, the Church announces the following leadership results:

Rev. Dr. Robert Langat, PhD, EBS, has been re-elected as Presiding Bishop of Africa Gospel Church Kenya for a further term of five years, effective 1st January 2027.

Rev. Dr. Paul Lokol, Bishop Elect for Turkana Region, has been elected Deputy Presiding Bishop Elect, also serving a five-year term from 1st January 2027.

The Council further elected thirteen Regional Bishops Elect who will each serve a five-year term commencing 1st January 2027, representing Baringo, Bomet, Coast, Kericho, Keringet, Nairobi, Nakuru, Nandi, Narok, Siongiroi, Trans Nzoia, Turkana, and West Pokot regions.

The Consecration and Installation of the newly elected Regional Bishops and the Deputy Presiding Bishop Elect will take place on 4th December 2026. The venue will be communicated in due course.

We congratulate all our elected leaders and join in prayer for wisdom, humility, and grace as they prepare to serve.

COSTLY GRACE
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16）

Costly grace is the gospel which must be sought again and again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a man must knock. Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life. It is costly because it condemns sin, and grace because it justifies the sinner. Above all, it is costly because it cost God the life of his Son: ‘Ye were bought at a price’, and what has cost God much cannot be cheap for us. Above all, it is grace because God did not reckon his Son too dear a price to pay for our life, but delivered him up for us. Costly grace is the Incarnation of God. – Dietrich Bonhoffer

There is another gospel: the gospel of cheap grace. So, what is the gospel of cheap grace? It is any gospel that says that your salvation is so easy that you could do something to contribute towards it.

I believe in costly grace. Cheap grace is not enough. The only one that can save me is the grace that cost God everything and is free to me.
