ST. MICHAEL, STAND WITH ME
St. Michael, mighty warrior of God,

Stand beside me when the battle is hard.

When fear surrounds me and hope feels far,

Be my shield beneath heaven’s star.

With your sword of heavenly light,

Defend my soul through every fight.

Break every chain, silence every fear,

And remind me that God is near.

When enemies rise, let me not run,

For my battle belongs to the Holy One.

Cover me beneath your mighty wings,

And lead me closer to the King of kings.

St. Michael, captain of heaven’s host,

Stand with me when I need you most.

Guard my home, my family, and my way,

And keep me faithful to God each day.

I do not fight this battle alone;

My strength is Christ, my refuge His throne.

St. Michael, defend me by God’s command,

Until safely in Heaven I stand.

St. Michael the Archangel, pray for me.

Defend me in battle.

Lead me closer to Jesus.

Amen.

Did you know? The only saint Jesus Christ personally canonized… while hanging on the cross next to Him. His name? St. Dismas, the Good Thief.

Crucified beside Jesus, he had no time for great good deeds, no long prayers, and no holy reputation. In his final agonizing moments, he simply turned to the Lord and said: “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

Jesus looked at him and answered: “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43) In one instant, a lifetime of sin was wiped away by one act of sincere repentance.

He was brought to heaven, not because he did nothing, but because he had faith in Christ and in His Kingdom. Because of this Faith, he pleaded before Him, recognizing his sinfulness before the King of Kings, that alone was his great deed. And in that moment, Jesus forgave him.

St. Dismas became the first person promised Heaven, and the only saint directly canonized by Jesus Himself. He is now the patron saint of prisoners, criminals, sinners, and anyone who turns to God at the very last moment.

It’s never too late. No sin is too big. No moment is too late.
St. Dismas, pray for us! 🙏

✝️ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗬𝗣𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗜𝗡… 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪

It may sound simple…

But understanding sin clearly changes how you live your faith.

✝️ 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧: 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗜𝗡
This is the sin we inherit.

Not something you personally committed…

But a fallen state passed down from the first humans.

✝️ It removes original holiness
✝️ It weakens human nature
✝️ It is washed away in Baptism

✝️ 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗: 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗜𝗡
This is personal.

These are the sins you freely choose:

✝️ In thoughts
✝️ In words
✝️ In actions
✝️ In omissions

Every moral decision matters here.

✝️ 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗗: 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗜𝗡
A serious break with God.

For a sin to be mortal:

✝️ Grave matter
✝️ Full knowledge
✝️ Deliberate consent

It destroys grace in the soul.

✝️ 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗛: 𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗜𝗡
Less serious…

But still dangerous.

✝️ It weakens your relationship with God
✝️ It makes you more open to greater sin
✝️ It dulls spiritual sensitivity

It should never be ignored.

✝️ 𝗗𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧H
Sin is not just about actions…

It is about the direction of your heart.

✝️ 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥
Lord,
give me the grace to recognize sin clearly.

Strengthen me to avoid it,
and to return to You when I fall.

Amen.
