Lesson for 23rd August 2025[BI-ANNUAL]

THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT.

Scripture reading: Matthew 19:1-18.

Memory verse: Exodus 20:14.

1. What reply did Yahshua give when a man asked Him how he might gain eternal life? Matt.19:16-17.

2. Did Yahshua make it plain to him that He was referring to the holy Ten Commandments, which were written by the finger of Elohim, upon two tables of stone? Matt. 19:18-19.

3. Which one of the holy Ten Commandments did the Pharisees mock? Matt. 19:3.

4. What was Yahshua’ reply? Matt. 19:4-6.

5. When a man or women divorces and remarries, what sin is he or she committing? Mark 10:11-12; Luke 16:18.

6. What instruction did the wise man, Solomon, give concerning this gross sin? Prov. 6:32.

7. How long is a marriage to continue, and when may either party remarry?
1 Cor. 7:10-11, 39;Rom. 7:2.

8. If anyone who knows the truth concerning divorce and remarriage goes and commits this gross sin, what is he to be referred to as?
Rom. 7:1-3.26.

9. When a man and woman have entered into a marriage agreement, who witnesses this covenant? Mal. 2:14-16.

10. May a man who has been involved in any way in these unfortunate circumstances be a preacher or hold an office in the Church of God? 1 Tim. 3:2; Titus 1:5-6.

11. Whom will the Lord our God judge?
Heb.13:4, last part.

12. What class of people will not inherit life eternal? 1 Cor. 6:9-10.

NOTE- Divorce and remarriage is one of the gross sins which is mounting by leaps and bounds, just as Yahshua said that it would at the time of the end. Although the law of the land allows it, yet it is sin in the sight of Almighty God. All sinners shall be cast into the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. We need to be careful and teach the truth, not only on this vital subject, but as Paul said:“I have not shunned to declare unto you the whole counsel of God” Acts 20:27

PETER – FISHER OF MEN

Scripture reading: John 21:3-17.
Memory verse: Matthew 4:19.

1. Matthew 4:18-20 tells of the calling of Simon Peter and his brother Andrew. With what intriguing promise did Jesus call them? How did they respond?

2. Compare this account with John 1:35-42.

3. Discuss the occasion, the account of which Matthew 14:28 is a part. Does it reveal Peter’s character?

4. Perhaps the most glorious part of Peter’s association with Jesus is recorded in Luke 9:28-36. How did he regard it? Why did they keep it a secret? Matthew 17:9.

5. What was the most bitter experience in his association with Jesus? Matthew 26:69-75. What was the result of this experience in Peter’s life?

6. What was Christ’s charge to Peter? John 21:15-17.

7. Did Peter obey this command? Discuss Acts 2:14, 37-40; 5:12-16.

THE MILLENNIAL AGE.

Scripture Reading:Revelation 20.

Memory verse:Zechariah 14:9

1.What will the saints be doing while Satan is bound for 1000 years? Rev 20:4-6.

2.Where will this reign take place? Rev 5:9-10.

3.According to Daniel's vision, where will Christ and the saints reign and judge? Dan 7:26-27;21-23.

4.What will Christ's work be be like, according to the psalmist? Psa 110:1-7.

NOTE: There are no enemies in heaven,among whom Messiah would need to rule. During the millennia age, he will rule from sea to sea,but after that reign, there will be no more sea.Rev 21:1

5. When Christ returns to earth, what will he do with the present kingdom? Isaiah 2:1-4,Dan 2:44,45.

6. Who will then be King over all the earth? Zech 14:9

7. Who besides Christ will also rule over the nations? Rev 2:25-27.

8. What can you get out of the parable that Jesus related according to Luke 19:11-19.

NOTE: Messiah is the nobleman.When he returns he will bring our reward with him, some will become rulers, over ten cities(not in heaven though) and others over five cities. See Dan 12:3.

9.What fellowship will exist among the animals and also people then? Isaiah 11:5-9.

NOTE: Satan being bound, neither the nor the animals will cause destruction. Some think this condition will convene only after the millennial age,but children would suck their mother's breasts for 1000 years.And if the earth had been desolate the animals would either have to be resurrected or have been in heaven for 1000 years.The Bible promises neither of these.

10.When Will the joint reign of Christ and his saints come to an end?1Cor 15:24-28.
2 Timothy 2:15,Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
