The heart of man is unpredictable and can be deceptive. What people promise today, they may forget tomorrow. That is why God warns us not to place our confidence in human strength, wisdom, or loyalty above Him. Many disappointments come when we expect from people what only God can provide. While we should love and respect others, our ultimate trust must remain in the Lord, for He alone is faithful and never changes. When people fail you, let it remind you to lean more on God, whose promises never fail.
