This is a friendly reminder that our branch spring fling BBQ will be happening this Saturday 4/16 at Dewey Park on Camp Zama from 4 to 6 pm. The branch will be providing the hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks. Please use the meal train link here (https://mealtrain.com/k1n762) to sign up for a side dish, dessert, or other item to bring to share. There will be an Easter egg hunt and other fun activities for the children. We look forward to seeing all who are able to attend and please feel free to invite friends and neighbors to join us for the festivities.

We also wanted to remind everyone that our Sunday meeting time for 4/16 will be changed due to a conflict with the Yamato ward. We will be starting our Easter Sunday sacrament meeting at 1 pm followed by Sunday school. We invite all to join us in worshipping together to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Quick announcement to all who will be attending church meetings tomorrow:

The Yamato Ward will be returning to in person meetings and there bishop has asked that all of our members wear face masks to help their members feel comfortable as they return. We ask that all members help in following this request.

Due to the additional restrictions put in place by U.S. Forces Japan, we will be holding our Sunday meetings virtually via Zoom for at least the next two weeks (Jan 16 and Jan 23) and possibly longer depending on any ongoing restrictions. Good news! The restrictions on base have been lifted regarding the missionaries and they are now able to visit members in their homes on base for meals. If you are interested in hosting the missionaries please reach out to the Elders quorum presidency or the branch presidency.

We are pleased to announce that two baptisms will take place this weekend. Brother Doug Pistner will be baptized Saturday, September 18th at 10:00am and brother Collins Ndweke will be baptized Sunday, September 19th following Sacrament meeting. Both of these baptisms will be held at the Zama Military Branch chapel. We welcome all who would like to attend and support these two brethren as they follow the example of the Savior.

Just a reminder that we will be having a branch BBQ social tomorrow night at 5:00pm. Location will be on SHA at the park adjacent to the Parish’s house. Hot dogs, hamburgers and condiments will be provided. We invite all to come and bring a side dish to share “pot luck” style. If you can’t bring anything, no problem, still come and enjoy the evening with us!
