教会員の皆様、出席者の皆様へ

暖かくなり、桜も香りはじめておかしくない頃となりました。昨今の状況のせいか、3月末から4月はじめにかけて桜を眺め、また香ってくるのが待ち遠しいです。
今回のお知らせの前に、まず皆様のご理解とご協力を感謝いたします。コロナウィルスの世界的大流行、いわゆるパンデミックを受け、教会の予定もその多くを変更せざるを得ませんでした。教会員の皆様、並びに出席者の皆様のご健康に配慮し、皆様の健康を守ることに積極的に取り組んで参りました。どの国の政府も、未だにこのウィルスについて多くを把握しておらず、まだワクチンも開発されておりません。そこで教会の予定を変更し、また皆様も変更に快く協力してくださいました。皆様のご協力に改めて、感謝申し上げます。
ここで、コロナウィルスを広めないため、教会として行ってきた対応を、改めて皆様にお伝えしたいと思います。
１．教会会堂入り口に、来会時に使用できるマスクをご用意しております。集会ご出席時に、お一人様に付き一つご使用ください。可能な場合は、ご自分でマスクをご用意ください。教会会堂内では、マスクをご着用ください。マスクを持って来られなくても、ご来会いただけます。
２．会堂入り口に消毒液をご用意しております。必要な分をご使用ください。
３．お手洗い、台所、洗面所のタオルを使い捨てのペーパータオルで代替しています。手洗いの際、お使いください。手洗いを心がけましょう。
４．浮遊・付着のウィルスや菌を除菌する消毒剤を礼拝堂内に設置しております。メーカーは、99.9％のウィルスと菌を除去するとしています。
５．教会の予定を変更し、午前礼拝のみ集会を持っております。現時点、すべての聖書の学び会、英語クラス、日曜学校を中止しています。
６．会堂の椅子の配置を変更しました。先聖日（3月8日）、約20センチ間隔で椅子を配置しました。3階も同様に配置しております。今聖日は、更に間隔を広げて配置する予定です。3階のスクリーンに礼拝堂の様子が映されますので、ご希望の方は3階もご利用ください。
７．午前礼拝の挨拶で握手をしないことにしました。握手をせず、お互いに過度な接近を控え、人に向かって咳をしないようお勧めします。どうしても咳やくしゃみが出る場合は、袖やハンカチ、ティッシュで押さえるなど咳エチケットを守りましょう。お互いに十分、注意しましょう。
８．教会会堂に集まることに不安がある方のため、日曜の午前礼拝をフェイスブックでストリーミング配信しております。主に、日本語で配信しておりますが、英語通訳の配信もあります。フェイスブックに登録された方は、礼拝の様子をライブでご覧いただけます。また、ご都合のよい時に録画をご覧いただくことも可能です。日曜の午前礼拝を配信できる方法を、現在この他にも検討中です。尚、ストリーミング配信をご覧になることは、礼拝出席の代替ではないことを、是非ご理解ください。この配信は、今の状況にあって利用できる方法の一つであり、また将来、ご病気等どうしてもご出席が難しい時のためのものです。礼拝に出席できる方、また出席したい方は是非続けて、聖日の午前礼拝にご出席ください。ウィルス感染に不安のある方、また既往症などをお持ちの方は、どうぞ十分ご注意くださり、用心を怠らず、今のこの時期はストリーミング配信をご利用ください。
９．水曜祈祷会で集まることはしませんが、日本語と英語でストリーミング配信をしております。今週、第一回目の水曜祈祷会の配信をしたところです。ライブでご参加くださった方々、また後で録画をご覧くださった方々に心から感謝しております。
この他、フェイスブックへの登録や、ストリーミング配信にご興味のある方は、次の聖日にスタッフ他何名かがお手伝いいたします。礼拝後に20分間ほど設けて、1階の礼拝堂でフェイスブックへの登録の仕方、操作の仕方などご質問を受け付けます。登録が済んでいる方も、何かご質問があればこの機会をご利用ください。
現在のコロナウィルスのパンデミックを受けて、私は教会のスタッフと続けて話合いを重ねています。何かご提案や、更に感染拡大を防ぐ手立てなどのお考えがあれば、電話かメールでご連絡ください。私たちは信仰により歩んでいますが、神様は身体の健康や病気を防ぐために多くの知識を与えてくださっています。教会の身体的な健康を守るために、神様からの知識を賢く用いていきたいと考えています。
4月の教会の予定に関しては、引き続き検討し、3月末には皆様にご連絡する予定です。
またご存知の通り、政府は14日（土）夕方6時に新型コロナウィルスの特措法成立を受けて、会見を行う予定です。もし、この会見により何か教会に影響を与えることがあれば、メールを通して皆様に速やかにご連絡いたします。
最後になりますが、改めて様々な変更に対する皆様のご理解とご協力に感謝いたします。お互いに祈り合い、主に信頼し続けるよう励まし合いましょう。

Hello Brothers and Sisters of Wakaba BBC and friends,
The weather is warming up. I can almost already smell the cherry blossoms. With everything that is happening these days, I’m really looking forward to seeing and smelling the beautiful cherry blossoms at the end of March and the beginning of April.
I’m contacting you today to first thank you all for your help and cooperation. With the coronavirus pandemic, we have made many changes to the Wakaba BBC schedule. We want to be proactive in the care and protection of the health of our church members and attenders. The governments of the world still don’t know much about the virus, and there is still no vaccination for the corona virus. So, we have made many changes to our church schedule, and everyone has been so kind to cooperate. I am so thankful for everyone’s cooperation.
Second, I want to tell you about everything that we are doing to be careful to not spread the corona virus and to protect the health of our church members and attenders.
1. We have masks available for when you come to church. Please, take only one per person when you attend services. Bring your own mask if possible. We ask that everyone please wear a mask while at church, but you may still come if you can’t wear a mask.
2. We have sanitizer available for when you come to church. Please, use as much as you want.
3. We have replaced the towels in the bathrooms and kitchen area with disposable paper towels. When you wash your hands, please use the disposable paper towels. Let’s frequently wash our hands.
4. We have placed an air sanitizer in the church sanctuary. This removes 99.9% of viruses and fungi from the air and things in the sanctuary.
5. We have adjusted our schedule. We are currently gathering at church for Sunday AM services only. All Bible studies, English classes, and Sunday school classes are currently cancelled.
6. We have adjusted the seating in the sanctuary. Last Sunday (3-8), we put about 20 centimeters between each seat. Also, we did the same kind of seating on the third floor. This Sunday, we are thinking about making a little more space between each chair. For those who wish, please feel free to go to the third floor and watch the service on the screen.
7. We have temporarily stopped the shaking of hands time during the morning worship. For now, we encourage each of you to be careful not to shake hands, to respect personal space, and to not cough on anyone. If you feel the urge to cough or sneeze, please do it in your sleeve, your handkerchief, or in a tissue. Let’s be very careful.
8. We have implemented livestreaming on Sunday morning through Facebook for those who are nervous about gathering at the church sanctuary. Our main livestream is in Japanese. We also have an English translation livestream. If you are registered on Facebook, you can watch the services live, or you can watch the service video at a later time that is convenient for you. We are looking at other ways that we can make the Sunday morning worship service videos available to you. Please, understand that watching the services via livestream is not a substitute for attending services. It is a convenient tool for the current situation and in the future for those who are sick or cannot attend services for some extreme reason. We encourage those of you who can and who are willing to continue to attend Sunday AM church services as usual. But if you are nervous about the virus or have a compromised health condition, please be careful, take the necessary precautions, and use the livestreaming tool at this time.
9. While we are not gathering for Wednesday night prayer meetings, we are livestreaming it in both Japanese and English. We had our first prayer meeting livestream this week, and we are very thankful for all who joined us live and for those who watched the video later.
In addition, for those who are interested in registering on Facebook in order to watch the Sunday AM services via livestream, this coming Sunday the church staff and others will be available after the services for about 20 minutes on the first floor to help you register and show you some simple ways to navigate in Facebook. Even if you are registered on Facebook, you can stay and ask questions.
I am continuously discussing the current pandemic situation with the staff of the church. If any of you have suggestions about how we can be more careful, please contact me by phone or email. While we live by faith, we recognize that God has given us much knowledge concerning physical health and sickness prevention, and we want to wisely use that knowledge from God to protect the physical health of our church.
Concerning the April church schedule, I will continue to discuss it, and I will contact you all at the end of March.
As all of you know, the Japan government will hold a press conference tonight, Saturday, March 14th at 6:00 p.m., and plans to enact special measures to combat the coronavirus. If this press conference has any effect on the church, I will contact you immediately by email.
Again, thank you for your cooperation and understanding for all the recent changes. Let’s continue to pray for one another and encourage one another to trust in the Lord.
