Solstice Zazen
June 21st—the Summer Solstice.
At 5:25 PM, the sun reaches its zenith, and the light of the world attains its peak.
Since ancient times, this has been a day of prayer and celebration across the globe.
To honor this moment, Manryu-ji will host a special Summer Solstice Zazen session.
Whether you are a beginner looking for a brief introduction to Zazen, or someone who wishes to meditate freely amidst nature, we invite anyone seeking a moment of quiet reflection to join us.
● Saturday, June 21st | Summer Solstice
* 4:00 PM: Doors Open
* 4:44 PM: Zazen Start
* 5:25 PM: Summer Solstice Zenith
* 5:30 PM: Zazen Ends
* Fee: ¥1,000
After the session, our cafe will open, offering a selection of meals and refreshments.
● 8:00 PM: Kenbu Hoyo (Sacred Dance Offering)

This is the very first night as the peak of Yang begins its transition into Yin.
