[Opening Today!] "Legendary Tamatebako (Treasure Box): Tama Traditional Culture Festival 2026"
Programs are underway along U-Road, running from JR Hachioji Station.
The "Yokai Stamp Rally" is open for same-day registration. Collect stamps at the Yokai spots and discover the keywords.
You can also participate in a tea ceremony at Soto-Terrace by registering on the day of the event.

[This Weekend!] "Legendary Tamatebako (Treasure Box): Tama Traditional Culture Festival 2026"
The Traditional Performing Arts Festival will finally take place this weekend, Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, in the area around Hachioji Station!
In addition to traditional art performances—including those by Hachioji's Geisha Troupe and Car Puppets—you can enjoy a packed program featuring tea ceremonies, shadow puppetry, kendama, traditional masic, and hands-on activities for children. We hope to see you there!

"Legendary Tamatebako (Treasure Box): Tama Traditional Culture Festival 2026" will take place over the course of two days: Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31. The event will be held in the North exit area of JR Hachioji station. We are now accepting applications for the popular rickshaw ride experience.
Explore Hachioji, a city that still retains the atmosphere of the Showa era, while riding in a stylish rickshaw. This mode of transportation was widely used from the Meiji to the Taisho eras.

[Opening Today! "Kagurazaka Street Stage O-edo Tour 2026"]
The two-day traditional performing arts festival is now underway and will run on Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th!
Today, the opening day of the festival, features live at Akagi Shrine, storytelling and evening gatherings at Bishamonten Zenkoku-ji Temple, and Shinnai street performances and Iori-Uta singing throughout the neighborhood. Please stop by Kagurazaka!

[Coming this weekend!] "Kagurazaka Street Stage O-edo Tour 2026”
The traditional performing arts festival is just around the corner! It will take place on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17. For two days, the familiar streets of Kagurazaka will be transformed into stages for traditional performances.
In addition to programs that recreate traditions, such as the "Shinnai Nagashi" procession through the alleys accompanied by shamisen music and "Iori-Uta," a style of song said to have originated in Tokyo, there will also be performances blending Japanese tradition and modernity. These include traditional music and contemporary dance and the use of traditional and modern instruments.

[Venue Introduction] Kagurazaka · Akagi Shrine
"Kagurazaka Street Stage O-edo Tour 2026” taking place on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, will kick off with a “Kotohogi" live performance at Akagi Shrine starting at 1:00 PM on the 16th!
Founded in 1300, Akagi Shrine was one of the major shrines of Edo during the Edo period, serving as a center of religious devotion for the people. In 2010, as part of a project to rebuild the aging shrine, it was reconstructed as a modern structure that includes a café.
"Kotohogi" live performance in the shrine's Kagura Hall, Nagauta and Tokiwazu performers, along with Hayashi musicians, will present classic pieces brimming with sophisticated charm, accompanied by commentary.
Additionally, a diverse program will be held at famous Kagurazaka landmarks, such as Bishamonten Zenkoku-ji Temple and the Yarai Noh Theater.

【会場紹介】神楽坂・赤城神社
赤城神社は1300年に創設されたと伝えられており、江戸時代には江戸大社のひとつとして人々の信仰を集めました。2010年に、老朽化した神社を再生するプロジェクトで建て替えられ、カフェを併設したモダンな建築の神社となりました。
5月16日（土）、17日（日）に開催する「神楽坂まち舞台・大江戸めぐり2026」は、16日の13：00～の赤城神社での「ことほぎライブ」からスタートします！
ことほぎライブでは、赤城神社の神楽殿で、江戸の三味線音楽である長唄と常磐津節、そして囃子の演奏家が、粋な魅力が詰まった名曲を解説付きで披露します！
このほかにも、毘沙門天善國寺や矢来能楽堂など、神楽坂の名所で多様なプログラムをお届けします。
