私たちは従うから受け入れられるのではありません。反対に、受け入れられているから従う必要がないのでもありません。私たちはキリストにあって受け入れられているから、従うことができるのです。
キリストの完全な従順は、私たちの救い主としての義認と深く結びついています。イエスが義と認められ、私たちが信仰によってイエスと一つに結ばれることで、その義は私たちのものともなり、私たちはイエスにのみ、真の赦し、義、義認、そして安らぎを得ることができるのです。

Jesus’ obedience is our pattern and model in our new life in Him. Yet more than that, Jesus’ obedience is what secured our standing before God. It is because of His perfect obedience that we are accepted by the Father.
There are three reasons why this declaration is significant:
To show us that He is righteous,
To assure us that we are righteous in Him,
To guide us to live righteously like Him.
Legalism says, “I obey, therefore I am accepted.”
Antinomianism says, “I am accepted, therefore I do not need to obey.”
But the gospel says, “I am accepted in Christ, therefore I obey.”
There is an importance in His perfect obedience and its connection to His vindication as our Savior. Jesus was justified, and His justification becomes ours as well, because by faith we are united with Him. We have true forgiveness, righteousness, justification, and rest in Jesus alone.

教会内でのカウンセリングや教会そのもののために、聖書はなくてはならないものです。聖書は、神の御言葉そのもので、神によって守られてきたものです。それは未信者がキリストへの信仰に至るためだけではなく、教会の聖化のためにも不可欠です。
聖書はまるで、鏡のようなものであり、私たちにとって欠かせないものです（ヤコブの手紙1章23～24節）。同様に、聖書は私たちを導く灯のようであり、（詩篇119:105）、私たちの霊的な渇きを癒し、魂を生き返らせる生ける水のようで（エペソ人への手紙 5:25–27）、私たちの心に火をつける炎のようで（エレミヤ書20章9節）、そして、硬くなった心を打ち砕くハンマーのようなものです（エレミヤ書23章29節）。
私たちは罪深い状態にあり、真理を押し殺し、絶えず神を忘れてしまいます。一般啓示により、私たちは神の創造物を観察し神についてある程度知ることができますが、それだけでは十分ではありません。だからこそ、聖書が必要なのです。聖書は、私たちの世界に対する理解を正し、私たちの心の中にある、神だけが真に知っておられることを優しく明らかにし、そして私たちが謙遜と希望を持って罪と向き合う助けとなってくれます。

Scripture is necessary for the church and for counseling within the church. It is the preserved Word of God. The Bible is the remedy we need—not only for unbelievers to come to faith in Christ, but also for the sanctification of the church.
The Bible is necessary because it is like a mirror (James 1:23–24). The Bible is necessary because it is like a lamp that guides us (Psalm 119:105). The Bible is like living water that quenches our spiritual thirst and refreshes our souls (Ephesians 5:25–27). The Bible is like a hammer that breaks through hardened hearts (Jeremiah 23:29).
In our sinful state, we suppress the truth and continually forget God. Through God’s general revelation, we can know something of Him by observing His creation, but this knowledge alone is insufficient. This is why we need the Bible—it corrects our understanding of the world and gently reveals what only God truly knows in our hearts, helping us confront sin with humility and hope.
The hope that lifts the weak, comforts the desperate, and restores sinners who suffer the consequences of their sin is found only in the Bible. God’s Word meets us where we are and calls us to trust and follow Christ more faithfully every day.
