1. The Source of the Mission: DIVINE EMPOWERING

📖 vv. 14–15, 18a

a. Powered by the Spirit — v.14
Jesus began His ministry in the power of the Spirit.

b. Positioned by the Spirit — v.18a
The Spirit of the Lord was upon Him and had anointed Him for His mission.

2. The Scope of the Mission: DIRECT ENGAGEMENT

📖 vv. 18b–19

a. Providing Freedom — v.18b
Jesus came to bring good news to the poor, freedom to the captives, sight to the blind, and liberty to the oppressed.

b. Proclaiming Favor — v.19
He proclaimed the year of the Lord’s favor.

3. The Success of the Mission: DEFINITIVE EX*****ON

📖 vv. 20–21

a. Personified in Christ — v.20
Jesus declared that the Scripture was being fulfilled in their hearing. He Himself was the fulfillment of the mission.

b. Propagated through the Church — v.21
What Jesus began, His Church is called to continue—to carry the Gospel, serve people, bring freedom, and proclaim God’s grace.

“The greatest tragedy is not that the world has never heard the Gospel. The greatest tragedy is when the Church forgets why it exists.”

We are not only called to come to Christ—we are called to go for Christ.

We are not merely saved from sin; we are saved for His mission.

May we never forget why we are here.
His mission is our mission. ❤️‍🔥
