緊急のお知らせです！Emergency Announcement 📢

上の階の工事の影響で水漏れが起きて、教会の建物が水浸しになってしまいました。
なので今朝の礼拝はオンラインのみで行います。11時からライブストリーム配信し、それ以降はいつでも見ていただくことができます。

もちろん、教会は建物ではなく、神様を礼拝する私たち一人ひとりの集まりです。
ですから教会に直接集まることのできない日曜日でも、神様は同じように礼拝するべき素晴らしいお方で、私たちが心を一つにして礼拝するときに神様の栄光を表すことができます。

また、今日の夕方から予定していたクリスチャンの結婚セミナーは日にちを延期して行います。

皆さんがそれぞれの場所で心から神様を称え、神様にある愛、平和、喜び、希望を感じることのできる日曜日になるよう祈っています。

Due to construction on the fifth floor (above the church floor), lots of water has leaked from the ceiling into the church venue. Today we have an ONLINE SERVICE ONLY. The livestream will begin at 11:00 am and can be viewed any time after.

The church is of course not a building but God’s people who gather to worship him. So even though we cannot gather to worship God together in person, God is worthy of our worship. Even though physically apart, let us worship God with one heart.

Additionally the Christian Marriage Seminar planned for day will be delayed to another week.

金曜日・FRIDAY 🕯️

何百年もの間、クリスチャンはいろいろな方法でイエス様の死を記念してきました。テネブレと呼ばれる暗闇の中の礼拝もその一つです。テネブレは暗闇という意味で、礼拝が進むにつれて礼拝堂が暗くなっていきます。伝統的にその暗闇の中でイエス様の死の話を読み、賛美歌を歌います。

イエス様の死について書いている箇所は聖書の中に4つあります。その一つがマタイ26:20-27:61です。所々で止まって祈ったり賛美歌を歌いながらゆっくりこの箇所を読んで受難日を過ごすのをお勧めします。

ただ灯りを全部消さないように気をつけてください。暗闇の礼拝でも一本のろうそくが最後まで灯っています。それはイエス様は十字架で死にましたが、神様がイエス様を復活させることが私たちにはわかっているからです。私たちの罪も、悪も、死も、人間や霊的な力も、イエス様にとって大きすぎるものはありませんでした。だからこそ私たちがどれだけの暗闇に包まれていようとも、いつも希望があります。私たちを愛して十字架で罪のために死んでくれたイエス様を希望としましょう。良い金曜日を！😌

For hundreds of years, Christians have remembered Jesus' death in many ways, and one of those ways is with a Tenebrae service. Tenebrae is a word which means "darkness", and as the service progresses, the room grows darker. In the growing darkness, it's traditional to read the story of Jesus' death and sing songs.

You can read about Jesus' death in the Bible in four different places. One place is Matthew 26:20-27:61. Slowly reading through this story, pausing to pray or sing, can be a great way to spend the Friday night before Easter.

But don't forget to leave a light on. At the end of the Tenebrae service, one candle still is lit. This is because although Jesus died, we know God raised him back to life. Nothing was too much for him—not our sin, not evil, not death, not any human or spiritual power. And so no matter how dark it is around us, there is always hope. Put your hope in Jesus, who loves you and died on the cross for sin. And have a good Friday. 😌

Historically, Christians around the world have remembered and celebrated not just Easter Sunday, but also the Thursday before Easter. The night before Jesus was betrayed, traditionally believed to be a Thursday, he did something which was very strange to his disciples: he washed their feet! (You can read about it in John 13.) But why would he do that? 🤔
At the time, the feet were considered to be extremely dirty and disgusting. Imagine you've been hiking for a few hours, in sandals(!), and your feet are sweaty, dusty, and smelly. And even though you tried not to, you've accidentally stepped in some animal 💩 a few times. How dirty are your feet going to be? And how would you feel if someone you love and respect noticed them and offered to wash them?
I think most of us would refuse to have someone we respect wash our dirty feet. But Jesus told his disciples they *had to* let him wash their feet. As he washed them, and the dirt from their feet got on him, Jesus was showing how for them to become clean, he had to become dirty. For them to be honorable, he had to be dishonored. He took away their shame and transferred it to himself.
And it's the same for anyone who believes in Jesus alone and accepts his death in their place. The most awful, shameful things we've ever done are covered by Jesus' glory, so instead of being exposed and humiliated, we are honored and glorified. Incredible right? So let's remember and thank God for Jesus. Let's not try to hide what we're ashamed of from him. He has made us clean. And let's share this with others. Have a great Thursday!

歴史の中でクリスチャンたちはイースターの前の木曜日も特別な日としてお祝いしてきました。イエス様が十字架へ架けられた前日が木曜日だったと信じられています。その日にイエス様はあるびっくりなことをしました。イエス様は弟子たちの足を洗いました（ヨハネの１３章に書いてあります）。なんでそんなことしたのでしょう？🤔⠀

当時、足はとても汚いと考えられていました。数時間、サンダルでハイキングするとどうなるでしょう。足は汗もかくし、汚れるし、匂ってくると思います。もしかしたら、何回か動物の💩を踏んでしまってるかもしれません。足はとても汚くなります。もし自分が愛して尊敬している人がその足を洗ってあげようと言ったらどう思うでしょう？⠀

多分ほとんどの人が、自分の尊敬している人に汚れた足を洗ってもらうことなんてできないと断ると思います。けれどもイエス様は弟子たちに、イエス様に足を洗ってもらわなきゃいけないと言いました。弟子たちの足がきれいになり、その汚れがイエス様にかかることで、弟子たちが綺麗に清められるためにはイエス様が汚くなる必要があることを教えてくれました。イエス様が弟子たちの恥を代わりに自分自身に受けてくれました。⠀

そしてイエス様だけを自分の救い主として信じるクリスチャン全員に同じことが言えます。私たちがやった最悪の恥ずかしいことは全部イエス様の栄光によって覆われ、私たちは悪い行いがバレて恥を受ける代わりに、栄光と栄誉を与えられました。すごいことです！だからこそこの出来事を考え、イエス様を与えてくれた神様に感謝しましょう。イエス様がきれいにしてくれたから、自分の恥じを神様から隠さないようにしましょう。この素晴らしい出来事を他の人にも伝えていきましょう。良い木曜日を！

もうすぐイースター！

今年は教会初めてのことをします！名古屋、大阪、神戸、東京にあるマスタードシード教会と一緒にイースター礼拝をします。日本中にいる神様を礼拝する人たちとつながる特別な機会です🤗

Easter is almost here!

And this Easter we're doing something we've never done before in the history of our church: a joint online worship service with Mustard Seed Christian Church Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, and Tokyo! This is a super rare opportunity, so it'll definitely be a special time to connect with people all over Japan who worship God. 🤗
