千日詣りは、一日の参詣が千日分の功徳に相当するとされています。この風習は観音信仰の広まりとともに誕生し、古くから観音さまの功徳日として広く人気を集めました。大慈大悲の心であらゆる願いや悩みに耳を傾け、その苦厄を取り除こうとされる観音さまの慈愛を感じることができる一日です。期間中は本堂内々陣の特別拝観もおこなわれます。8月14日から16日の3日間は、夜間拝観も行います。詳細はプロフィールリンクまたは下のURLよりご覧ください。

The custom of the Thousand-day Prayer, during which one day of prayer is equivalent to a thousand days’ worth of meritorious prayers, took root alongside the spread of the worship of Kannon. It has widely gained popularity as the event for which the Kannon’s blessings are amplified. On these days, you can feel the great compassion of Kannon, who earnestly listens to every person’s vows and worries and strives to relieve each torment. During the period of Thousand-day Prayer, the nainaijin (the innermost sanctuary) in Main Hall is specially opened to the public in the evening as well as in the daytime. うら盆法話｜清水寺 夏の恒例行事

日時：8月1日（土）～5日（水）午前6時から（約1時間）
場所：大講堂 圓通殿

「うらぼん法話」は、大正4年（1915）に当山中興の祖・大西良慶和上がお盆の法施としてうら盆経の講話をしたことから始まった今年で100年の歴史をもつ夏の恒例行事です。本年は第109回目の開催となります。各界からお招きした先生方と当山貫主が、さまざまなテーマで講演をいたします。いずれもユーモアを交えながら、楽しく、ためになるお話ばかりです。涼しい朝のお参りと合わせてお気軽にご参加ください。

※仁王門前にて係が誘導いたします。聴講料等はありません。ご自由にご参加ください。

「冥丁 奉納演奏」アーカイブ公開
Dedicatory performance by MEITEI: Archive

2026年4月18日、本堂舞台においてアーティスト・冥丁氏が奉納演奏を行いました。
20代を京都で過ごした冥丁氏は、「日本とは何か」を自身の目で見つめ続け、音楽という表現へと昇華させてきました。そこで出会った音、風景、記憶から「失日本」という解釈を掲げ、日本に古くから現存する、自明でありながらも幽微な世界に焦点を当てた音楽活動を続けています。
表現者としての礎を築いた京都の街に再び拠点を移した今、現在の冥丁氏の集大成として臨まれました。

On the night of April 18, 2026, the artist MEITEI offered a dedicated performance on the main stage of the Hondo.
Having spent his twenties in Kyoto, MEITEI has consistently gazed upon the question of "What is Japan?" through his own eyes, sublimating his findings into musical expression. Under his conceptual theme of "Lost Japanese Mood," he explores the sounds, landscapes, and memories he encountered—focusing his musical practice amongst the ancient, self-evident, yet subtle and profound (Yūbi) worlds that still linger within Japan.
Now, having returned to Kyoto, the city that laid the foundation for his artistic identity, he offered this performance as a culmination of his journey thus far.
