8月16日に知恩院で初めて「三門夜間拝観と送り火鑑賞会」を行いました。

お申し込み頂いた和順会館宿泊者・抽選でご当選された方約40名で、通常非公開の国宝三門にて別時念仏会および京都の夏の風物詩である五山送り火（大文字以外）を観賞いたしました。

ご参加いただいた皆様、ありがとうございました。

On August 16, we held our first-ever “Sanmon Nighttime Viewing and Gozan Okuribi Viewing Event” at Chion-in Temple.

Approximately 40 people—including guests staying at the Wajun Kaikan and those selected by lottery—attended the event, where they participated in a special Nembutsu service at the Sanmon Gate (a National Treasure that is normally closed to the public) and viewed the Gozan Okuribi (all five mountains except for the “Daimonji”), a traditional summer event in Kyoto.

To help our guests experience even a little bit of the Gion Festival and the summer atmosphere, we borrowed women’s yukata from Ayakasa Hoko (綾傘鉾保存会) and welcomed guests at the front desk while wearing them.

We received many heartwarming comments from guests, such as “It really feels like summer” and “That’s lovely,” and the initiative was very well received.

We will continue to strive to provide hospitality that brings joy to all our guests.

祇園祭後祭宵山の7月23日、和順会館地下2階の和順ホールにて、ご宿泊のお客様向けに「綾傘鉾 棒振り囃子公演」を行いました。

山鉾巡行と同じ本衣装で迫力のある祇園囃子と棒振りを披露いただき、お客様からもご好評の声を複数いただきました。
公演終了後は、お客様に舞台に上がっていただき、記念撮影も行いました。

On July 23, the eve of the Gion Festival’s Late Festival (Yoi-yama), we held an “Ayagasa-hoko Bo-furi Hayashi Performance” for our guests at the Wajun Hall on the second basement level of the Wajun Kaikan.

The performers showcased the powerful Gion Hayashi music and Bo-furi dance in the same full costumes worn during the Yamahoko procession, and we received numerous positive comments from our guests.
After the performance, we invited the audience members onto the stage for a commemorative photo.

At Wajun Kaikan, we look forward to continuing to offer opportunities and programs that allow you to experience Kyoto’s history and culture!

The vibrant energy of the Gion Matsuri's Saki-matsuri (Early Festival) Yoiyama.

The comforting rhythm of the Ayagasahoko float's traditional Gion-bayashi music is accompanied by the Boburi-bayashi stick dance, performed to purify and ward off evil. Following the performance at the neighborhood headquarters, the music transitions to the Hiyori Kagura, a musical prayer for clear skies for the following day's grand float procession (Yamaboko Junko).

This year, we were honored to dedicate a lantern from "Chion-in Wajun Kaikan," adding a modest touch of light to the beautiful evening scenery of Yoiyama 🏮

総本山知恩院にて、国宝・御影堂の煤払いが行われました。

知恩院職員及びおてつぎ信行奉仕団の皆様で、ほうきや雑巾で入念に大掃除をいたしました。

大切な信仰の拠り所ですので、綺麗に守っていきたいものです。

At Chion-in, the head temple, a spring cleaning of the National Treasure, the Miei-do, was carried out.

Staff members of Chion-in and members of the "おてつぎ信行奉仕団" thoroughly cleaned the hall using brooms and rags.

As this is a cherished center of faith, we hope to keep it clean and well-maintained.

本殿内での神事の後、本殿の周りを3周しながら参拝する「お千度の儀」が行われ、祇園祭の安全などを祈願しました。

At Yasaka Shrine, six child from “Ayakasa Hoko ()”—in collaboration with Wajun Kaikan—performed a shrine visit.

Following the Shinto ritual inside the main hall, the “O-Sen-do Ceremony” was held, in which the child priests circled the main hall three times while offering prayers, including prayers for the safety of the Gion Festival.

いよいよ祇園祭が近づいてまいりました！

和順会館とコラボしている祇園祭・前祭の「綾傘鉾（ 綾傘鉾保存会 )」にて、粽入れが行われました。
綾傘鉾保存会の方々をはじめ、佛教大学・華頂大学などの学生さんも多数お手伝いされていました。

粽授与プランは終了しましたが、授与品プランや棒振り囃子プランなどは引き続き販売中です。

The Gion Festival is finally approaching!

We helped pack chimaki at the “Ayakasa Hoko (綾傘鉾保存会),” a float in the Gion Festival’s Maematsuri segment that is collaborating with the Wajun Kaikan.

Many people helped out, including members of the Ayakasa Hoko Preservation Society, as well as students from Bukkyo University, Kacho University, and other institutions.

The Chimaki gift plan has ended, but other plans such as the commemorative gift plan and the stick-waving festival music plan are still available for purchase.
