①近況をシェアしましょう。
②パウロたちが生きた1世紀初頭の「福音」の熱は、紀元4世紀頃まで続きました。しかし、ローマ帝国が313年に「ミラノ勅令」によりキリスト教を公認すると、次第に変化が生じます。やがてキリスト教はローマ帝国の国教となり、教会は強大化し、終わりなき権力闘争の闇に堕ちていきます。その結果、純粋な「福音」と「宣教」は教会から消え去っていったのです。ですから宗教改革運動までの約1000年間、事実上「福音」は、この世から消え去っていたということです。この歴史の最大の教訓とは、「福音」が今日においても、図らずもクリスチャン自らの手によって、「沈黙化」、「風化」、「封殺」されうるということです。あなたは、クリスチャンと教会のどのような考えや行動が、結果的に「福音」を沈黙化、風化、封殺することになると思いますか？そしてどのような考えや行動が、逆に福音を生かし、前進拡大させることになると思いますか？
③宗教改革前の、キリスト教会の腐敗状態を想像してください。もし宗教改革が起きていなかったら、今頃キリスト教会と世界はどうなっていたと思いますか？
④「福音を守る」ということを意識的に行うのでなければ、教会は再びあの闇の1000年間に堕ちてしまう可能性があります。過去に起きたその現象を阻止するための最も効果的な方法とは、「動態保存」（使うことで保存する）です。教会や個人が、具体的にどのように福音を「動態保存」することが出来るか、あなたのアイデアをシェアして下さい。
⑤異端尋問の裁判において、ルターが命懸けて放った「我ここに立つ」という言葉を思い出してください。彼は「聖書と信仰の真理に立つ、命をもってそれを貫く」と言っているのです。ここにルターの「神の言葉こそ最高の権威」であるという確信があります。また神の言葉である聖書を信頼する者を、神は必ず守り、導かれるというルターの確信が聞こえます。事実、ルターは、この後死刑判決を受けますが、奇跡的に命を守られ、宗教改革の運動を精力的に推し進めていきました。この歴史を振り返る時、私たちもまた聖書との関係を問い直すことが求められるかもしれません。あなたと聖書の関係について改めて考えてみてください。

② The fervor for the "gospel" that Paul and others lived with in the early 1st century continued until around the 4th century. However, when the Roman Empire officially recognized Christianity through the "Edict of Milan" in 313, gradual changes began to take place. Eventually, Christianity became the state religion of the Roman Empire, and the church grew powerful, sinking into the darkness of endless power struggles. As a result, the pure "gospel" and "mission" disappeared from the church. This meant that, for roughly 1,000 years until the Reformation, the "gospel" had practically vanished from the world. The greatest lesson from this history is that, even today, the "gospel" can unintentionally be "silenced," "weathered," or "suppressed" by the very hands of Christians themselves. What kinds of thoughts or actions by Christians and the church do you think could ultimately silence, erode, or suppress the gospel? Conversely, what thoughts and actions could instead give life to the gospel and help it advance and expand?
③ Imagine the state of corruption within the Christian church before the Reformation. If the Reformation had not occurred, what do you think would have happened to the Christian church and the world by now?
④ Unless we intentionally work to "preserve the gospel," the church could fall once again into those dark 1,000 years. The most effective way to prevent that from happening, based on past experience, is "dynamic preservation" (preserving through active use). Share your ideas on how the church and individuals can "dynamically preserve" the gospel in concrete ways.
⑤ Recall Luther's words, "Here I stand," which he uttered at the risk of his life during the trial of the Inquisition. He was saying, "I stand on the truth of Scripture and faith, upholding it even at the cost of my life." In this, we hear Luther’s conviction that "God's Word is the highest authority." We also hear his assurance that God will surely protect and guide those who trust in the Bible, His Word. Indeed, Luther was later sentenced to death but was miraculously preserved, allowing him to vigorously advance the Reformation movement. Looking back on this history, we too may be called to re-examine our relationship with the Bible. Reflect on your own relationship with Scripture.
