Since this recent years (about 10 years), unofficial Yamanashi Islamic Society rented a house as a musollah to do our religion activities. Currently, we are located at Heiwa-dori area. Unfortunately, we are unable to do all our activities in the house due to certain reasons. For example, during Jumu’ah prayer or other gathering events, we have to borrow a room in the university campus or rent a hall in community center because the current house do not have enough room capacity and a little bit far from university campus. This is also the main reason that resulted in different Jumu’ah prayer both at our musollah and university campus. From these points of view mentioned above, we concluded that we need an appropriate place of worship (masjid), at the same time a convenient cultural center to implementing Islamic and social activities for Muslim community in Kofu city, and overall Yamanashi Prefecture. We are optimistic and highly confident to do progressive da’wah, culture exchange and Islamic education for Muslims and non-Muslims. (Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari 5728)

Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

إَذا َسَْعتُْمبِلطاعُونبَِْرضفَلاَتَْدُخلُوَها
“When you heard about a plague in any land, then do not enter it.”

وإِذا وقع ِبَِر ٍض وأَنتم ِبِا فلا َتَرجوا ِمنها
“And if plague outbreaks in your land, then do not leave your land.”

It is a responsibility for all Muslims to play a role in preventing the spread of plague or any other contagious diseases based on the apparent meaning of this hadith. Even in The Holy Quran stated every human life (regardless of their faith) is essential and honored by Allah (SWT), and to protect life is our religious responsibility. [Al-Isra, 17:70]

This hadith clearly states that Prophet Mohammad is telling us to
practice self-quarantine through thoughout the plague. This concept is not only based off of modern medical research, but it is a religious obligation rooted in our religion.
Preventing harm and damage control is one of the pearls of wisdom behind this instruction of self-quarantine from the Prophet.
One of the other pearls of wisdom from this hadith is to limit the damage to one particular area and to avoid the widespread outbreak of the disease.

To all Muslims, have Sabr in this pandemic, take a thorough precautions whenever and wherever you are. Together we battle against Novel Coronavirus.

Good news to fellow Muslim brothers living in Kofu city and Yamanashi prefecture. The Kofu Masjid is happy to announce that Friday prayers have started since mid-May. Let’s get back to performing Friday prayers together at Kofu Masjid !

To prevent the spread of Coronavirus(Covid-19), please note that wearing mask is COMPULSORY. We would like to also urge fellow Muslim brothers to practice SOCIAL DISTANCING (2 metres apart from one another) whenever in Kofu Masjid and amid any religious activities held in Kofu Masjid.

Together we fight Covid-19 !

Alhamdulillah we have passed the phase of ramadhan this year and inshaAllah we will celebrate the first of shawal tomorrow.

Assalamualaikum

Perkembangan terkini berkenaan Kofu Masjid.
Kami ingin meminta maaf kerana telah lama tidak update.

Seperti yang telah sedia maklum sebelum ini, Kofu Masjid telah menjalani proses pengubahsuaian. Di sini disertakan gambar Kofu Masjid yang telah di siap diubahsuai.

Untuk makluman tambahan, pada Ramadan yang lepas,kami komuniti Islam di Yamanashi telah menjemput 2 imam dari Malaysia untuk mengimami solat terawih di sini.Aktiviti seperti jamuan iftar,tazkirah dan qiamullai telah dijalankan.

Berkenaan tanah masjid yang telah dibeli, kami masih tidak menemui pihak yang sedia membeli tanah tersebut. Proses penjualan tanah masih dijalankan.

Semoga Allah menerima usaha kita.

Update about Kofu Masjid.
Firstly,we are sorry for not update for a long time.

As have been told before, Kofu Masjid have been involved in process of renovation and the process already done. Here,we put a few pictures of Kofu Masjid.

For additional information,during Ramadan this year,we invited 2 imams from Malaysia to lead taraweeh prayer.A few activities have been done such as iftar and bayaan.

About the land that had been bought,we are still waiting for buyer and the process still on going.

May Allah accept our efforts.

Assalamualaikum

Perkembangan Terkini berkenaan pembinaan Masjid Kofu
Kami meminta maaf kerana telah lama tidak update berkenaan projek Masjid Kofu.

Untuk makluman semua,pihak kami di sini telah berjaya membeli sebidang tanah untuk dijadikan tapak Masjid Kofu.Namun,atas beberapa faktor yg tidak dapat dielakkan serta mendapat bantahan dari jiran-jiran sekeliling,masjid tidak dapat dibina di tapak tersebut.

Setelah bermesyuarat,warga komuniti muslim di Kofu ini sebulat suara untuk membeli bangunan serta lot tapak letak kenderaan yg sebelum ini hanya disewa sementara untuk dijadikan Masjid Kofu.

Alhamdulillah, bangunan tersebut telah berjaya dibeli dan beberapa proses pengubahsuaian dalaman bangunan telah dijalankan.

Berkenaan dengan tanah yang telah dibeli itu,kami masih menunggu pihak yang sedia untuk membeli tanah tersebut.Proses penjualan semula tanah masih dijalankan.

Semoga Allah memudahkan usaha kita untuk membina Masjid kofu.

Update of Kofu Masjid project
Firstly,we are sorry for not update about this project for a long time.

For information,our muslim community in Kofu here already bought a land that initially planned for the construction of Kofu Masjid. But, a few problems occurred plus the objections of neighbors surrounding,the mosque cannot be build there.

After a lot of meetings held,our muslim community in Kofu agreed to buy a building with parking lot that we rented before.

Alhamdulillah, we bought the building and a few process of renovation of the building already happened.

About the land that already bought, we already make process to sell back the land and still waiting for buyer.

May Allah accept our efforts for the construction of Kofu Masjid.

Pemberitahuan Perkembangan Pembinaan Masjid Kofu untuk penderma di Malaysia.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Terima kasih atas sumbangan tuan-tuan dan puan-puan yang budiman sekalian.

Untuk pengetahuan semua pihak. Perancangan Masjid Kofu ini adalah usaha penduduk Islam di Kofu , Yamanashi.

Penduduk itu, ada beberapa orang warganegara Jepun serta penganut Islam yang bekerja dan belajar di sana.

Termasuklah penuntut Malaysia di Kofu, Jepun.

Projek pembinaan masjid ini merupakan projek orang awam Islam di Kofu , Jepun.
Manakala pelajar Malaysia yang menuntut di Jepun membantu dari segi bantuan apa yang patut dan mengumpul dana.

Begitu juga Persatuan Bekas Pelajar Universiti Yamanashi (YUMS) yang berada di Malaysia, yang ahlinya Alumni Universiti Yamanashi, sekadar membantu kutipan dana.

Konsep Masjid.
Masjid Kofu yang akan di bina di Jepun bukanlah masjid yang gah macam di Malaysia.

Rancangannya hanya membeli tanah dan membina bangunan yang boleh dijadikan tempat berkumpul dan beribadat.

Kalau diidamkan masjid tersergam indah, mungkin kosnya akan lagi tinggi dan entah bila siapnya.

Atas faktor matawang di Jepun memang tinggi. Projek ini masih ditahap awal lagi.

Bagi update projek ini.

Perkara yang perlu diselesaikan adalah,urusan pejabat tanah,
penduduk sekitar dan urusan pembinaan.

2,3 kali juga pembincangan masih perlu dilakukan.

Disebabkan tempoh yang masih panjang. sebut harga bertukar sedikit sebanyak mengikut masa.

Buat sementara waktu menyelesaikan beberapa perkara.
Apa tindakan yang pihak komuniti Islam Kofu buat adalah, menyewa bangunan sementara untuk dijadikan tempat ibadat. umpama surau sementara.

InsyaAllah kita doakan urusan rasmi dengan pihak berkuasa dan penduduk setempat dapat diuruskan dan boleh dimulakan pembinaan masjid tersebut.

Setakat ini kita bersyukur dengan penyewaan bangunan untuk surau sementara.

Mohon pemahaman juga, sebut bangunan pun, sebenarnya rumah kedai kecil sahaja walaupun harga atau sewanya mahal jika di ikut nilai Malaysia.

Semoga Allah mudahkan urusan kita. Pihak Komuniti di Kofu Jepun pun memang menjangkakan untuk keseluruhan proses siap memakan masa 4, 5 tahun.

Kita hanya mampu berusaha, semoga Allah membantu kita.

Sekali lagi terima kasih kepada yang memberi sumbangan melalui Persatuan Bekas Pelajar Universiti Yamanashi (YUMS).

Semoga kita bersabar dan istiqamah dalam usaha menjadikan sebuah Masjid Kofu, Yamanashi menjadi satu realiti.

Progress of the kofu musalla

Alhamdulillah the month of ramadaan has dawned upon us this year. We the muslim community of kofu began renting the bottom floor of the current musalla since May this year. During Ramadaan we have invited an imam from South Africa to lead us in the taraweeh prayer. We managed to increase our community activities this year being supported with an increase in the number of participants, from the students and businessmen. Some of our activities are iftaar party, bayaan after taraweeh, also the five daily prayer on weekends. Arrangements for the ladies facilities were also made.

May Allah take us from strength to strength and accept our efforts.

Untuk makluman semua, kami komuniti muslim kofu telah menyewa bangunan tingkat kofu musolla untuk kegunaan jemaah yang semakin meningkat. Sempena Ramadhan yang mulia ini, kami telah menjemput imam dari afrika selatan dan mengimami kami utk solat terawih. Aktiviti seperti jamuan iftar, tazkirah selepas terawih, solat jemaah lima waktu sehari pada hujung minggu telah diadakan. Di samping itu, kami juga telah memuatkan tirai bagi kegunaan jemaah wanita. Moga Allah memudahkan usaha kita membina masjid di kofu.
