Kobe Mosque belongs to all Muslims — it is a waqf, meaning it is Islamic public property that no individual can own.
However, a group of Pakistanis has been controlling it for decades with zero transparency.
So the court stepped in and ordered them to register proper members and hold elections every two years.
Their response? They registered almost exclusively Pakistani members — with a few others — just to maintain legal control over the mosque.
Over time, many of those members returned to their home countries or moved to other cities. But the Pakistanis kept using their names in elections through forged proxy documents.
When the Pakistani chairman’s term ended — he simply refused to hold elections. He even tried to register the mosque’s ownership under a Pakistani individual’s name.

The vice-chairman — an Egyptian — refused and went ahead with the elections anyway.
The Pakistani illegal chairman’s reaction was immediate. Knowing he faced serious financial and administrative violations, he rushed to the bank and withdrew ALL of the mosque’s funds. He used that money to hire a lawyer to challenge the legitimacy of the new elections.
He obtained a temporary court order stating that no new chairman exists until the matter is reviewed on a a standard case. He used this to reinstate himself.
From that moment, he began eliminating his opposition — not through law, but through force.
He hired thugs from nightclubs he personally knew as “guards.”
He started harassing opponents, blocking them from praying inside the mosque by force — and blocking their wives too.
Because the law, the police, and Islam itself do not approve of what he is doing but nightclubs security will do anything for money.
In this video — a Japanese woman and her daughter were locked inside the mosque simply because she expressed that she did not consider him a righteous man.
His response was to imprison her and her daughter and harass them — just to make sure she never comes back.
This is not Islam.
This is a group of people who clearly do not know Islam.
