Our focus this week is a natural progression from our focus on submission last week. When we submit to God’s work and action in our lives, the next question is often “what then is my purpose? Who is God calling me to be in this world?” Our passage from Ephesians 2 will give us foundational guidance on what it means to live with purpose as one alive in Christ. Join us for lunch at 12pm and worship at 1pm!

This coming Sunday enters us into the season after Pentecost, a time to focus on the poured-out Spirit’s work in us and the life of discipleship. Over the next five weeks, we will be considering the challenges of the Christian life, beginning with submission and a focus text of Hebrews 5:5-10. Join us for this series during worship every Sunday at 1pm!

On Pentecost we had the joy of hearing the witness of Scripture in eight different languages as we celebrated the diversity of the Church and a Spirit poured out on all flesh.

The languages you’ll hear are English, Spanish, Mandarin, Chichewa, Japanese, Ukrainian, Bahasa Indonesian, and Afrikaans.

This Sunday, the Global Church will celebrate the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the disciples who would begin the Christian Church, as well as celebrate that this same Spirit empowers and guides believers today. Join us for worship as we hear our text from Acts 2 in eight languages and reflect on the ways the Spirit is working within us today.

This week takes us back to the very beginning of Acts as we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord with the Church worldwide. As the disciples linger in the space between Jesus’ departure and the coming of the Spirit promised to them, we will reflect on our own journey of discipleship that calls us at times to wait. Join us for lunch at noon and worship at 1pm!

We love it when our community shares their gifts! This afternoon Ken taught us how to paint the Gospel during our bi-weekly youth gathering. We enjoyed talking about our favorite stories about Jesus while we painted and discovered some very talented artists!

Our Gospel text this Sunday is unique to Matthew as he offers us an aside to remember: the news of Jesus’ resurrection was unwelcome by some. Join us as we look to Matthew 28:11-15 as we explore a short passage about those who wished to cover up news of the resurrection.
