火が金、銀、宝石を傷つけることはありません。これらは「残」ります。これらの貴重な物は何なのでしょうか。文字通りの金や銀ではありません。これらはあなたの奉仕を象徴しています。あなたは生活の中でキリストを敬うことを求めてきましたか？キリストに仕えることを求めてきましたか？誰もが完璧ではありません。私たち皆が罪を犯します。私たち皆が不完全です。神の目的は罰することではありません。それでも神は報いてくださりたいのです…神によく仕えた信仰者たちを報いてくださりたいのです。奉仕するすべての行ないは…すべてのささげものは…イエスのために行なった全てのことは…さらにイエスのゆえになされたことは…充分に報われることでしょう。
The fire does not harm the gold, silver and precious stones. They will remain. What are these precious items? Not literally gold and silver. No, they symbolize your service. Did you seek to honor Christ in your life? Did you seek to serve Him? No person is perfect. All of us sin. All of us fall short. God’s purpose is not to punish. But he does want to reward… the believers who served him well. Every act of service… every sacrifice… every thing done for Jesus… and because of Jesus… will be fully rewarded.

建築資材は、私たちの行ないを表しています。私たちがこの世の人生で行なったことです。価値のあることもあります。価値のないこともあります。火は神の評価を表しています。神はすでにその結果は分かっています。この評価はあなたのためのものです。神はあなたに示したいのです…あなたがどう生きたかの神の意見を。神はあなたを愛しておられます…完璧に、全面的に。しかし同時に神はあなたに真実を見てほしいのです。
The building materials represent our deeds. The things we did in this life. Some are valuable. Some are worthless. The fire represents the evaluation of God. God already knows the outcome. This evaluation is for you. God wants to show you… his opinion of how you lived. God loves you… perfectly and fully. But God also wants you to see the truth.

この時なのです…私たちに分かるのは…私たちが賢い投資家だったかどうか。この世の人生での私たちの行ないが評価されます。そして、私たちは「報いを受ける」のです。これは「返済される」という意味です。私たちの行ないは「善であれ悪であれ、」どうでしょう。ここでの「悪」とは、邪悪という意味ではありません。その概念はどちらかというと「価値が無い、無益」です。
This is the time… when we find out… if we have been wise investors. Our deeds in this life will be evaluated. And we will be recompensed. This means “paid back”. Were our deeds good or bad? Bad here does not mean evil. Rather the idea is “worthless”.

クリスチャンの望みは、将来への固い確信になります。パウロは確信に満ちています…神の救いのみわざは…ひとり一人信じる者を救う働きは…続けてなされるのだと…私たちの生涯を通じて成されることなのです…救いが完成するまで…私たちがキリストの御前に立つそのときまで続いてなされることなのだと。
Christian hope is firm confidence in the future. Paul is confidently certain… that God’s work of salvation… the work in saving each believer… will be continued… throughout our life… until salvation is completed… when we stand before Christ.

裕福になることは何も悪いことはありません。それでも私たちは認識していなければなりません。この世の人生での富は…いつの日か、すべて失われます。もっとずっと安全な投資は…天の宝です。天の宝は決して失われません。永遠に残ります。しかし、どうしたら「自分のために、天に宝を蓄え」られるのでしょう。
There is nothing wrong with being wealthy. But we must realize… the riches of this life… will someday all be lost. A much safer investment… is heavenly treasure. Treasure in heaven can never be lost. It will last forever. But how do we store up for ourselves treasures in heaven?

御霊が神の真理を明らかにしてくださるので…私たちは聖書を理解するために御霊に頼ることができます。私たちが聖書（神のみことば）を開くにあたり…私たちは聖霊が私たちの目に光を与えてくださると期待することが出来ます…そうなることで霊的な真理を理解することができるのです。私たちは祈ることができます。「天の父なる神様、どうかあなたの御霊が私の目を開いてくださいますように…そうして私があなたのみことばのうちにある素晴らしいことを見ることができますように。」
Because the Spirit reveals God’s truth… we can depend on Him to help us understand the Bible. We can open God’s Word… expecting the Holy Spirit to give light to our eyes… so that we can understand spiritual truth. We can pray… “Heavenly Father, may your Spirit open my eyes… that I might see wonderful things in your Word.”

これは水のバプテスマのことではありません。これは何が起こるか、なのです…私たちが信じたその瞬間に何が起こるのか。聖霊によるバプテスマによって…私たちは普遍的教会に入れられます…キリストのからだである教会の中に置かれます。そしてあなたはつなぎ合わせられます…御霊によって…他のまことのクリスチャンすべてと。これは象徴的なつながりではありません。クリスチャンが次のように言うとき…私たちは神の一つの家族ですと言うとき…これはただの楽し気な、温かな考えなのではありません。これは真実なのです。神の御霊が私たちを永遠につなぎ合わせてくださいました。
This is not water baptism. This is what happens… the moment we believe. The baptism by the Holy Spirit… places us into the one Church… the body of Christ. And then you are connected… by the Spirit… with every other true Christian. This is not a symbolic connection. When Christians say… that we are one family of God together… it is not just a happy, warm thought. It is the truth. The Spirit of God has joined us together forever.

神は私たちを霊的に生かしてくださいます。しかし、それだけではなくもっと素晴らしいのです。神の御霊が実際に下って来られ、住んでくださるのです…私たちの心の内に住んでくださるのです。生ける神の御霊が…すべてのクリスチャンの内におられるのです。私たちの身体は家のようなものです…私たちの内面にとっての家。しかし、それ以上のものです。各クリスチャンの身体は…宮です。あなたは聖霊の臨在を感じないかもしれません。しかし聖霊は生きておられます…すべてのクリスチャンの内に。
God makes us spiritually alive. But it is much more than that. God’s Spirit actually comes to live… inside our hearts. The Spirit of the Living God… is inside every Christian. Our body is like a house… for our inner man. But more than that. The body of each Christian… is a temple. You may not feel His presence… but the Holy Spirit lives… inside every Christian.
