The Hourai Festival will be held in the town of Tsurugi on October 5-6. This festival is the Autumn Festival of the Kinkengu Shrine, and has been held every year for over 800 years. Several huge, hand-made floats about 5 meters tall carried on the shoulders of the townspeople, making for an impressive sight.
At the free rest house “Yokomachi Urarakan” you can receive free festival sushi “Sasazushi”, and local sake. Local goods will also be sold here.

The Hakusan Shirakawa-go 100km Ultramarathon begins on Sunday the 8th of September, 2019. With the World Heritage Shirakawa-go and Hakusan Tedorigawa Geopark as its stage, this tournament will put 1,200 runners to the test as they travel through the nature of Hakusan, all the way from the mountains to the sea.
Guests are encouraged to come support these brave athletes from the sidelines and finish line, while enjoying the beautiful surrounds.
