午後7:15から江戸川花火大会が始まります。
篠崎駅周辺はすでに大混雑とのこと。
こちらのお寺は花火鑑賞のベストポジションとは言えませんが、我々はここから楽しませてもらおうと思っています。
本日、熊本地震の災害義援金の募金箱を玄関に設置しました。募金は熊本の皆さまを助けるためのベストな方法のひとつかと思います。現時点で直接の支援のために現地に赴くことは難しいわけですが、むしろ義援金という形でも十分な助けになるということ、度重なる災害の中で私たちは学んできたように思います。
そして心優しい方の中には、このような状況で花火大会を楽しむことに躊躇している方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。でも実は、江戸時代に日本で最初に行われた花火大会は飢饉や疫病などの災害で亡くなられた方の鎮魂のために行われたものだと言われています。
現代の私たちも花火を見ながら被災地に心を寄せていきたいと思います。
いま、ここで花火を鑑賞できることに最大限の感謝をこめて🙏
The Edogawa Fireworks Festival begins tonight at 7:15 PM. I hear that the area is already crowded with people heading there to enjoy it. Although this isn't a prime viewing spot, we will enjoy the fireworks from here.
Today, we set up a donation box at the reception desk to support the victims of the disaster in Kumamoto. Making a donation is one of the best ways to help the region. While it is difficult to visit the area directly to support them right now, we know that donations are enough to provide great help.
Some of you may feel unable to fully enjoy the fireworks while your thoughts are with the people affected in Kumamoto. However, the very first fireworks festival in Japan was held to console the souls of those who had perished in a disaster in Edo-era. So we can give our heart to people in Kumamoto area while seeing the fireworks.
I am truly grateful to be able to enjoy fireworks like this.
