Mr. Tatsuo Miyairi, the pianist of the Prayer for Peace Concert also participated in Ms. Tokiko kato's concert tour. In addition to showcasing piano performances centered on chanson with deeply moving melodies, he is actively involved in a wide range of activities including planning concert CDs, arranging, and instructing amateur chanson and jazz singers, mainly in Hokkaido-Sapporo and Hakodate. The chanson singer Ms. Hitoe Matsuda expressed that if Mr. Miyairi would play the piano, she could concentrate on singing with peace of mind, so Mr. Miyairi came a long way from Hakodate to perform. Ms. Matsuda went to Hakodate in advance to rehearse with Mr. Miyairi. We are deeply grateful for their efforts made to ensure the success of the Gotane Prayer for Peace Concert.

The pianist for the Prayer for Peace Concert was Tatsuo Miyairi (who lives in Hakodate). His performance was so beautiful and powerful that I was captivated. Someone sitting nearby said, "It was so great to be able to see the performance up close. It was so cool!"

A cup of Matcha-powdered green tea (thin tea) was served with moist main sweet.
More than 30 people attended and enjoyed green tea watching tea serving procedure.

Last year (2024), we invited Asahikawa-City Mixed Chorus Group and held a Hymn Concert.【This is a PAST Event】

Gotane and Sanka-no-Tsudoi (Celebration of the Birth of the Founder, Shinran-shonin, and Hymn Concert)
Date: Sunday June 2, 2024, PM1-
Place: 2nd floor Main-Hall at Tenneiji Temple

We invited the Asahikawa-City Mixed Chorus Group, and they sang hymns and chorus songs with a conductor, pianist, and MC. The conductor taught us about vocalization, and then we all sang Buddhist hymns and popular songs together.

The vice representative of the followers of Jodo Shinshu sect at our temple, Mt. Hisami Sugimoto took the leading role to invite the chorus gruop.

～Celebration of the Birth of the Founder, Shinran-shonin, and Candle Concert-Singing and Narration in Prayer for Peace～(Gotane-Heiwa no Inori〜

Singing voice of the second generation of atomic bomb survivor, which echoes through the Tenneiji Main Hall.

Ms. Hitoe Matsuda, who is a Chanson singer belongs to Association Franco-japonaise de la Chanson, delivers her wishes for peace with singing (various range of songs including Chanson) and narration.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Candles made by students of Asahikawa Agricultural High School will be lighted during the concert in prayer for peace.
