أسست مؤسسة الملك الحسين عام 2015 شركة «إثمار» للتمويل الأصغر الإسلامي لتكون أول مؤسسة تمويل أصغر مطابقة لأحكام الشريعة الإسلامية في الأردن بترخيص من البنك المركزي الأردني، وتهدف الى مكافحة الفقر والبطالة عن طريق تقديم تمويل متناهي الصغر لذوي الدخل المحدود وأصحاب المشاريع الصغيرة، بهدف تحسين مستواهم المعيشي ومعالجة مشاكلهم الاجتماعية. وسعياً للوصول بخدماتها الاجتماعية والمالية لجميع فئات وشرائح المجتمع، ولتكون أُنموذجاً تنموياً مبتكراً للتمكين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وتسعى «إثمار» لتوفير منتجات تمويلية وخدمات مالية واجتماعية متكاملة مطابقة لأحكام الشريعة الإسلامية. Founded in 2015 by King Hussein Foundation (KHF), Ethmar for Islamic Microfinance, the first Shari'ah-compliant Islamic microfinance company in Jordan. With the license of Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) as the first Islamic Microfinance institution to fight poverty, unemployment and to provide financial solutions to those with low-income individuals (employees, workers and retirees), licensed businesses and household businesses. In order to reach its social and financial services for all segments of society and to be an innovative model of economic and social empowerment, Ethmar seeks to provide innovative Islamic financial products and solutions.
