This one went straight to the heart and that’s exactly the point 😮‍💨

The condition of our heart matters greatly because it is the source of our spiritual life. Even if the heart can be deceitful, God still looks at it. That is why we must constantly examine ourselves:

- What kind of heart do I have?
- What kind of “soil” am I according to the parable of the sower?
- When problems come, do I give up, or do I continue trusting and thanking God?

A reliable heart is undivided, guarded, consistent in faith and persistent despite difficulties.

So as we wait for the coming of the Lord, may we continue to have reliable and persistent hearts - hearts that trust God even in difficult times.
Life may be full of problems, but we are never alone because God is always with us ☝🏻

TITLE: A Reliable and Persistent Heart

TEXT: Proverbs 4:23

RATIONALE: Believers are not expected to endure alone. God steps into the
"track" of our lives to help us finish the race, and the Holy Spirit provides the power to keep moving forward. A reliable and persistent heart is a guarded heart-protected from worldly distractions, sin, and despair that could compromise our commitment to God.

LAST SUNDAY'S RECAP:

1. Faithfulness is God’s nature.
The One who promised is faithful, steady, unchanging and constant through every season.

2. Sometimes we wait for the grand gestures, not realizing it’s the small details, the quiet moments and the daily grace that make life truly grand.

3. In a world where everything changes, we can’t depend on temporary things. We need to be gripped by who Jesus is — because His faithfulness never shifts.

4. Even when faithfulness goes unnoticed, it still matters. The hidden obedience, the silent consistency, the showing up when no one sees: God honors it all.

So stay faithful where you are.
In the waiting. In the ordinary. In the small beginnings. Because the God who called you is faithful, and He never fails.

Motherhood … is a gift and a blessing from the Lord.
It is a lifelong calling ordained by God and truly worthy of honor.

Whatever a mother may encounter along her journey, she will always remain a mother. But the good news is that we have a God we can call upon, for He will strengthen us and help us through every season of life.

So what should a mother’s role be in this constantly changing world we live in today?

1. Raising godly children who do not conform to the world but are guided by Scripture.
2. Teaching Scripture and a biblical worldview, along with kindness and wisdom — wisdom that begins first with the fear of the Lord.
3. Loving children in a way that reflects God’s character.

As mothers, we should remain vigilant against ungodly influences, just like the significant biblical figure Hannah — a woman of faith.
We are called to love our children and train them to be self-controlled and pure.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers!
May God continue to strengthen, guide and bless you as you walk in this beautiful calling 🤍

Perseverance is evidence of genuine, lasting faith producing obedience and steadfastness during difficult times. It is the result of the Holy Spirit's transforming work in the life of believers. Romans 12:2 instructs us not to conform to culture's shifting standards but to be inwardly transformed by God's truth.
