Wife's Role In A Christian Marriage

Crucial to any family's success is the wife's role in a Christian marriage. A good God-fearing woman is the glue that holds the family together. First and foremost a help "mate," or suitable for a husband, a godly wife is a woman of faith, virtue, intelligence and beauty. A virtuous woman is not ignorant or slothful, but an enterprising leader, using time, talent and abilities for the good of the family and community. The role she plays is also a pivotal one between the father and the children; and at times requires the gift of mediation to help facilitate communication and good will, especially with adolescents. A godly wife is a good steward over the family resources, shows kindness to the poor, and possesses such Christian qualities and character to bring honor to God and to a husband. Proverbs, Chapter 31 perfectly describes the wife's role in a Christian marriage: "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life" (Proverbs 31:1-12). A virtuous woman's goal, then, is to live life above reproach to win the husband's trust. The chaste conversation of a godly woman becomes an example of virtue, purity and holiness bringing honor to the husband.

Incorporated in the wife's role in a Christian marriage is not only the ability to properly manage the household, but primarily to minister to her own husband. A wife has the God-given power to make or break a man. By understanding a man's need for intimacy and acceptance, a godly wife can help the husband become all that God intended for him to be. Christian women need not be concerned about infidelity when the effort is made to love, honor, obey and cherish their mates. Keeping the home fires burning is part of a wife's role, and should not be a duty but a distinct pleasure. "Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency" (I Corinthians 7:1-5).

As women of integrity, many females fulfill the wife's role in a Christian marriage not only by meeting the needs of the husband and family, but by also extending charity to the poor and performing good deeds. In so doing, the godly Christian wife brings honor to the husband, possibly a leader in the community or in the church. Part of good stewardship is tithing, giving a tenth to the Church; and offerings for the work of Christian ministry at home and abroad. The wife's role in a Christian marriage which extends beyond the homefront might include volunteering to deliver meals to the sick and shut in, helping the elderly, or accompanying the family on mission trips abroad. In any case, the godly married woman sees a need and makes a sincere effort to meet it whenever possible.

Women married to ministers or laypersons should always live an exemplary life and not bring shame upon their husbands, but honor. Because of a lifestyle that is chaste, holy, and pure, the wife's role in a Christian marriage is a witness not only to the community at large but also to the family and spouse. Godly women lead by being an example of the believer in word and in deed. The wife's responsibility is to teach a daughter and other young women how to be a godly wives, while demonstrating to young men the proper way to earn respect and submit to the husband's authority. The wife's role in a Christian marriage includes teaching others by example. " But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed" (Titus 2:1-5).

Lastly, the wife's role in a Christian marriage is to display Christ-like attributes and the fruit of the Spirit that emanate both natural and spiritual beauty, to the glory of God. The virtuous wife possesses love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Because she fears, or reverences the Lord, the godly wife is able to excel in virtue above other women, so much so that works of honor, humility, and true holiness earn a reputation in the church and at home. "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity" (I Timothy 4:12).

Husband's Role In A Christian Marriage

Beautifully outlined in Ephesians, Chapter 5, the husband's role in a Christian marriage is comparable to the role Christ plays with the Church. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: ...For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh" (Ephesians 5:22-30).

The husband's role in a Christian marriage is primarily to act as the spiritual head of household, leading and guiding wife and children into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As the spiritual authority, men are expected to submit unto God and in so doing, win the respect of their spouse. Wives whose mates willingly follow the Lord Jesus Christ should be willing to come under the God-given authority of the man. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God (I Corinthians 11:3). Just as Christ is the Savior of the Body, so the husband's role in a Christian marriage is to act as high priest of the home, always pointing the way to the Lord by way of the example of a holy lifestyle above reproach.

According to Ephesians 5:25, the husband's role in a Christian marriage also requires a self-sacrificial love for the wife. As Jesus sacrificed life for the sake of the believer, so should the godly man forfeit fleshly desires and carnal pleasures to provide a safe and secure home environment. A selfless, sacrificial love enables men to make wise choices in every area of life so that wives are never threatened by financial lack, infidelity, or alienation of affection. Her heart is full of confidence that her husband, led by God's Holy Spirit, will always do what is best and what is right in the sight of Almighty God. In a Christian marriage, the husband is a lover, protector and provider.

Ephesians 5:26 depicts the husband's role in a Christian marriage as a god-fearing man leading a holy life. That lifestyle makes the husband a fit vessel to spiritually sanctify and cleanse the woman. To sanctify means to set apart or separate for holy service to God and to ones mate. The marriage bed becomes holy and undefiled, and the marital relationship is exclusive and monogamous. When the husband lives a life pleasing to God, by example the head of the household becomes a "living epistle," demonstrating to the wife what a righteous lifestyle should entail.

Throughout their union, the husband's role in a Christian marriage as high priest requires intercession for the household. A sanctified man approaches God in prayer and fasting, interceding on behalf of a submissive wife. Constant fellowship, s*xual intimacy, and continual communication cleanse the female so that she can stand before God without spot or blemish.

The prerequisite for holy matrimony is love. The husband's role in a Christian marriage as lover is a gift from God. The holy man reserves s*xual intimacy solely for his mate, preferring her above all other women. The realization that his body belongs solely to his wife is a restraint against adultery. In keeping the marriage vow of faithfulness to one woman, the man demonstrates the love of Jesus Christ. The relationship between a godly man and woman is so fulfilling that there is no need to venture outside the bonds of holy matrimony to seek s*xual gratification. An impenetrable bond exists between a husband and wife; a love that far supersedes the love of a man for parents. He willingly leaves the parent/child relationship to forge a new one-flesh union with the woman whom God has given.

A man who understands the husband's role in a Christian marriage loves the wife as himself, providing natural, spiritual and emotional nurturing and sustenance. The godly husband protects the wife from seen and unseen danger; edifies or builds her up by constantly reaffirming a heartfelt love. He allows the woman the liberty to make decisions but also provides encouragement and comfort when those decisions may not have the best outcomes. The man of God does not bring the wife into bo***ge by imposing fleshly rules and regulations, but he directs the woman, as the lesser vessel to look to God first and foremost. "This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband (Ephesians 5:31).
Men who adhere to biblical principles for husbands in a Christian marriage will soon discover that the world's definition of manhood is sorely lacking. But a lifestyle lived in subjection to the Father, in the likeness of the Son, and in the admonishment of the Holy Spirit will be rewarded with the praise and admiration of a wife, children, and the society at large.

How many men agree and will share this post to brag on your wife?

Remember what the Word of God says that, judgement will begging from the House of the Lord 1Peter 4:16-17. This was said because, satan has gain entrance into the church and deceived many, teaching them forbidable things, things against God's command and secondly, the grand father of all liers has no comfortable place of rest thereby moving to and fro seeking and looking for whom to carry along to hell, his place of eternity and he don't want to suffer this alone. The western old churches has accepted the deceiver to be master (devil) ministering his word into there heart.
This are signs of our LORD's coming. I am NOT here to set dates or times. I am here only to warn the world that the second coming of Jesus Christ is NEAR, even "at the door" ... Matthew 24:33-34. 'So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
The facts of the end times was also seen in the Daniel 2:31-35 which says: Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image .. This image's head was of fine gold, Nebuchadnezzar Image his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet. So this prophecy alone tells us that this generation is living in the "end times". The sign of the perilous also is happening. 2Timothy 3:1-5 says, 'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.' ... The Perilous times are here, and will continue to get worse. There are protests, terrorism, riots and uprisings all over the world today. The economy worldwide is in trouble and everything just seems ready to explode! And this plays into the hands of the beast power who can bring the "solution" to the troubles of this world. But that solution will be a deception. All these are happening because the world government and orthodox and the catholic heads has undermind the Great Knowledge of Almighty God, and God has handed them over to satan because they have refuse God' command. Scripture says, in 1Timothy 1:19-20 " holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith. Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
In Matt. 24:12, Jesus said, 'And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.' Idolatry, Adultery, Violence, Lust, Greed, Homos*xuality, Theft, Lying. Just take a look around you and you will see the world is abounding in these sins, and not just the heathen world, but also WITHIN THE CHURCH! This world is truly aching under the burden of sin, and God will not let it carry on for much longer. Let's just look at ONE sin - Abortion. In the World today, since 1973, over THOUSAND'S MILLION babies have been aborted (killed). The love of many have certainly "waxed cold" and the fact that many professing Christians believe that the ten commandments are no longer binding, then naturally sin is going to increase.
2Timothy 3:1-5, says, 'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.' ... Again, take a look around the world today and you will that this Bible verse above concerning the end times is being fulfilled. Now notice that it says people will be lovers of PLEASURE more than lovers of God, and that they SEEM to be Godly, but in reality they are Christians by name only. This is a perfect description of the church today. The majority of professing Christians today are more interested in the TV, sports, partying, socializing, playing games etc, than they are in following Christ Jesus.
Matthew 24:14, 'And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; gospel and then shall the end come.' The end cannot come with any old "gospel" message being preached to the world, no, Jesus said that "THIS GOSPEL", meaning the TRUE gospel must be preached and then the end would come. This true gospel is being preached through this website and many other websites, not forgetting the pulpit, tv, radio, books etc. The gospel of Christ Jesus is now reaching the ends of the world and the return of Jesus is in sight.
We hope you can see from the above signs that we are truly living in the last days, right before the second coming of Christ Jesus. "We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another - fire, and flood and earthquake, with war and bloodshed".
You shall know the true and the truth shall set you free John 8:32

CHRISTIAN BREAKING THE CIRCLE OF SIN
It's a common question asked by many Christians particularly, "singles"... How do I live a sin free "holy" life, when I live in a world where I'm bombarded with so much Godlessness? 1 John 2:16 warns, "For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things] these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]."
Look at what Jesus said in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
This is good news! Every Christian on the face of the earth, through the power of Jesus Christ, has the ability to overcome the seductions of this world!
How do you do it?
Jesus gave a clue in Matthew 4:4, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
The answer is: Feed your spirit and starve your flesh! What we should desire from God is not money nor house nor car nor food but, HIS WORD in our SPIRIT.
Secondly, look at what JESUS said in Matthew 16:26 and Mark 8:36, "What gain will it be for a man if he have everything in the world and lose his soul? Brethren, lets think about this critically.
Here are 4 major keys to feeding your spirit and starving your flesh...
1. Study God's word daily: In Matthew 4, Jesus made it very clear that God's word is a necessity for defeating the devil. Each time He was tempted, he responded with "It is written!" Take note of how God's word is described in the Scripture. "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." (Psalm 119:11)
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."(Psalm 119:105)
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)
2. Pray: "The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous avails much." (James 5:16)
Too many Christians live a defeated lives because they don't spend quality time alone communing with their Heavenly Father. In Ephesians 6:18, prayer is listed in christian lives as part of armor in spiritual battle. "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." Jesus taught the importance of going to a private place to pray. "But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." (Matthew 6:6)
3. Fasting: There are numerous accounts in the Bible of how God's people prayed and fasted for victory against the enemy...
"On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered together, fasting and wearing sackcloth and having dust on their heads." (Nehemiah 9:1)
"In every province to which the edict and order of the king came, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping and wailing. (Esther 4:3)
"Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust." (Acts 14:23)
Matthew 6:16 and Isaiah 58 explains the kind of fasting that produces results!
4. Remain in close fellowship with other believers: The Bible warns Christians about the dangers of fellowship with non-believers and neglecting fellowship with believers...
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)
5. Be mindful of what you watch, hear and read:
Countless single Christians lament that they just can't seem to shake feelings of loneliness and the overwhelming desire to engage in s*x outside of marriage. In almost every single case, these believers are allowing pollutants from the world to contaminate their spirits. This generally happens through entertainment, what you watch, listen to and read. Look at what King David declared in Psalm 101:3...
"I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me."
Proverbs 4:23 gives a stern warning, "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Denying the flesh requires great discipline on the part of the believer. However, be encouraged single brothers and sisters and remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

THE SUPERNATURAL DIMENSION OR POWER OF GOD.
=================================================
The supernatural dimension or power, in a religious context, refers to the place where a possible almighty power exists. This means that it is greater than the natural world and human kind itself. It exists beyond the natural world and this is the dimension or power in where it resides. All world religions have a central belief in a supernatural dimension or power, however within a variety of religions they all have differences.
Theologically, there are two(2) types of religious viewers with different understanding and belief to THE SUPERNATURAL DIMENSION OR POWER OF GOD. These are:
(i) Transcendent and
(ii) Immanence

1. Transcendent: The idea of transcendence is that God does not interfere in this physical world and is independent.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9.
The transcendence of God is closely related to his sovereignty. It means that God is above, other than, and distinct from all he has made - he transcends it all.
Paul says that there is "one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all (Ephesians 4:6). Scripture says elsewhere, "For you, O LORD, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods (Psalms 97:9; cf. 108:5).

2. Immanence: The immanence world view is the opposite and their God does exist both in the physical spiritual world.
The literal meaning of the immanence of God is "to be within" or "near" in relation to God's creation. Immanence is closely related to God's omnipresence, in that God is always present within the universe, though distinct from it. God is 'within' the universe in that God is its sustaining cause.
Jeremiah 23:23-24 Said, "Am I only a God nearby,' declares the LORD, and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?' declares the LORD. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the LORD."
"In Christ all things hold together..." Colossians 1:17.

My theological conclusion is that, To affirm God's transcendence and deny his immanence is to arrive at DEISM. To deny his transcendence and affirm his immanence is to arrive at PANTHEISM.

Deism in theology: Means, a religious belief holding that God created the universe and established rationally comprehensible moral and natural laws but does not intervene in human affairs through miracles or supernatural revelation. Why

Pantheism: Means, a doctrine which identifies God with the universe, or regards the universe as a manifestation of God.
Pantheism theologically, is the view that God is everything and everyone and that everyone and everything is God. Pantheism is similar to polytheism (the belief in many gods), but goes beyond polytheism to teach that everything is God. A tree is God, a rock is God, an animal is God, the sky is God, the sun is God, you are God, etc. Pantheism is the supposition behind many cults and false religions (e.g., Hinduism and Buddhism to an extent, the various unity and unification cults, and “mother nature” worshipers.

Does the Bible teach pantheism? No, it does not. What many people confuse as pantheism is the doctrine of God's omnipresence. Psalm 139:7-8 declares, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” God's omnipresence means He is present everywhere. There is no place in the universe where God is not present. This is not the same thing as pantheism. God is everywhere, but He is not everything. Yes, God is “present” inside a tree and inside a person, but that does not make that tree or person God. Pantheism is not at all a biblical belief.

The clearest biblical arguments against pantheism are the countless commands against idolatry. The Bible forbids the worship of idols, angels, celestial objects, items in nature, etc. If pantheism were true, it would not be wrong to worship such an object, because that object would, in fact, be God. If pantheism were true, worshiping a rock or an animal would have just as much validity as worshiping God as an invisible and spiritual being. The Bible’s clear and consistent denunciation of idolatry is a conclusive argument against pantheism.
