Thanks-giving for strength through out the fasting period. We pray against any form of distraction. Declare that everything is well.

We are thanking God for our countries (origin and resident). Pray for leaders in various positions (Presidents and Ministers, Police, Lecturers, etc) that together they shall constitute laws that will be in our favour always.

We thank God for fruitfulness for our countries. We declare that the land will produce good fruit.

Day 5 [05.02.2021] The Peace of God about your Work.
.. Be honest and work hard, so you will have something to give to people in need. [Ephesians 4:28].

God is interested in our work. Since creation, God gave man the responsibility to take care of this earth; ... to be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it ... (Genesis 1:28). The summary of all that is work.

In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus spoke about the parable of talents. Our work is a talent that we must take very good care of. In and around our work are clients/customers, employees/employer, colleagues, etc. It is our responsibility to ensure peace at our work. We must be ready to start this peace process. This means that irrespective of how people treat you, you must be sure to respond the right way.

Try your best to bring improvement to your work. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians 3:23. Don't work anyhow because you think you're not paid well, etc. Allow the peace of God to guide your heart and mind in your work. Jacob was cheated for his wages over 14 years but he exhibited patience, tolerance and trust in God and in due time, he got a divine idea that changed his life. Genesis 30:25-31:55

Your motivation to work should not be centred on earning a living for yourself only. God gave you that work to be able to support others in need (from immediate family to total strangers). Just like Jacob, God will cause you to get abundance (enough for yourself and others who need your support.

Your dedication to work will not be a waste of time. Be diligent, patient and trust God so that you will not be frustrated. In due time, you will receive your promotion.

•Thank God for knowledge and understanding about your Work.
•Thank God for the right ideas to improve your work and add value.
•Declare promotion/elevation in your work.

Day 4 [04.02.2021] The Peace of God about your Righteousness.
.. 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid'. John 14:27

To be a King's favourite, you must be in his good books (a right stand). God, knowing that none can pay the price to be righteous decided in his own wisdom to give us a free ticket.

Once Christ accepts you through your belief and confession (Romans 10:9), you subscribe to eternal righteousness which gives you a right stand with God. This means your righteousness is not dependent on your actions and inactions.

Righteousness in God gives you the peace of mind to access all the benefits of the kingdom. Once you are saved, you have the assurance of all other benefits.

The importance of righteousness in the life of a Christian can be likened to the heart in the human body. For this reason, righteousness has become the devil's main target on Christians. He always attacks your righteousness which is your true identity in Christ.

Don't allow the devil to accuse you. Focus on your righteousness (free gift from Christ) and meditate on it daily and you will see yourself transform into that righteousness (2 Corinthians 3:18). It is a process that needs patience and endurance but also knowledge. It requires the soft patience applied in training a child to learn how to walk, eat, write, etc. It is the continuous reflection on the goodness of God that will bring true repentance. Romans 2:4.

Let this knowledge about your righteousness (in Christ) guide your heart and mind and experience the peace of God in your righteous life.

Day 3 [03.02.2021] The Peace of God about your health.
.. 'Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth'. 3 John 1:2.

God's intentions for his children is for us to be healthy all through life. God doesn't just wish good health for us, but He has actually made provisions for our healthy living.

Isaiah prophesied years before the birth of our saviour; ... 'and with his stripes, we are healed. Isaiah 53:5. Christ took upon him our sickness and paid for it fully on the cross.

A Christian must not be sick. One may only feel sick. In such instances, we need to show the receipt of the payment made for our sickness by Christ; declaring our healing (which Christ has deposited in us) and calling forth its manifestation.

It must be noted that the peace of God is not the absence of trouble but the presence of a greater peace of mind that supersedes the troubles of the world (sickness/pain, others).

A candle's true brightness shows in the dark, not under sunlight. That is not to say wait for the dark times when you feel sick before you turn on the candle of your health. Make it a point to declare your good health daily. That way, you are creating your atmosphere of a healthy life.

Train your soul with knowledge of the gospel about your health so that you will live in good health forever.

•Thank God for his peace that is guarding your heart and mind concerning your health.
•Declare that you can never be sick.

Day 2 [0.02.2021] The Peace of God in Prayer
.. 'and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:7).

In Prayer, we must say back to God, what He has already said concerning us. This brings us into agreement with God which is very important in our Christian walk. 'Can two walk together, except they be agreed?' Amos 3:3.

So what role does the Peace of God play in our prayer? The peace of God which surpasses/transcends/exceeds worldly understanding must guide your heart (where the issues of life are stationed) and your mind (where common sense and logic rules).

Knowledge of the Peace of God makes you say the right prayers. The peace of God gives you the right (Godly) mindset based on knowledge of the Gospel.

So to pray, you need the right mindset about your righteousness, health, prosperity, work, marriage, wealth, enemies and just anything you want to pray about.

The right mindset will not permit you to pray against your enemies contrary to Jesus' instructions in Matthew 5:44. Stop praying to kill your enemies. We need the right knowledge and trust to do just as the gospel says. The peace of God defuses every fear and anxiety borne out of worldly understanding and emotional response to issues/situations.

To exhibit the Peace of God in your prayer?
•Analyze the situation you want to pray about.
•Know what God has said concerning that situation.
•Trust in God.
•Then say what God has said about you and believe.

Our Prayer
•Thank God for knowledge and understanding of the Gospel.
•Thank God for his peace that is guarding your heart and mind to say the right prayers always.
•Thank God for a victorious life.

2021 Fasting and Prayers

Day 1 [01.02.2021] The Peace of God about your Salvation.

Salvation is an essential gift God has made available to all men through the special Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is a new birth that gives Christians special rights and privileges in God's kingdom.

Salvation literally means to be delivered/saved (from death, sin, sickness, poverty, fear, anxiety, etc.)

Jesus died on the cross to make peace between us and God. He promised that 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27).’ This is peace with assurance.

Now that we are saved, we ought to experience the peace of God in all facets of our life. However, the peace of God can only function according to the knowledge (Joshua 1:7) and trust (Proverbs 3:5-6) one has about it.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Recognize the Holy Spirit! – [Part 2]

Sometimes, we have limited knowledge about our friends [or close ally] because we have been used to the little knowledge we know about them. Over-reliance on the little knowledge could prevent you from knowing more. You must count yourselves privileged to have [some] knowledge about the Holy Spirit. However, you should not be complacent, but seek to know more.

Why are you privileged? God didn’t allow everyone to recognize the Holy Spirit [who He is and His works]. This special right is given to believers only.’ Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it [the world] *seeth him not, neither knoweth him*: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you’ [John 14:17].

When you have a special friend, you take very good care of the friend and try all you can to know your friend well so that you can have a good mutual relationship that will inure to your benefit. Many believers have not taken time to know more about the Holy Spirit. Some doctrines have also prevented additional knowledge about the Holy Spirit.

Don’t take you relationship with the Holy Spirit for granted. For what shall if profit you if you have;
•a comforter, yet you live in discomfort;
•a strengthener, yet you are weak;
•a counselor yet you are discouraged
•an advocate yet you are disorganized
•a helper yet you feel helpless
•an Intercessor [or judge] yet no one speaks for you
•a Standby yet you are lonely

The way you use the Holy Spirit is limited to your knowledge about him. Most Christians are underutilizing the one who was sent to our rescue.

• We thank God for exclusive knowledge about Holy Spirit
• Pray that you’ll be conscious and attentive to the Holy Spirit.

*Our Meditation*
Let’s not behave like the world while we are believers; that even though we have the Holy Spirit, would not see and know him well [John 14:17].
