Surrounded by an aura of enchanted charm, the Abbey of Cervara owes part of its reputation to its unique position, overlooking the sea in one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the world, the one between Santa Margherita and Portofino. Against this backdrop, in the silence of the gardens and the cloister, the Cervara organisation stands ready to provide the assistance required for holdin
g any type of event, which will be handled in the most personalised way possible. The complex is especially suited to important events or meetings that require discretion… or simply an attitude of dignified concentration. Our ambition – which is also our goal – is to make you feel at home, to assure that your event is a unique experience, and to welcome your guests with the professionalism and warmth that distinguish the Cervara and its organisation. From March to October you can visit the Abbey on the first and the third Sunday of every month (10 am, 11 am and noon). Visits can be booked toll-free at 800-652110 and they are staffed by licensed, accredited guides. Group admissions, with a minimum 30 guests, can also be booked in advance on any available date that can be conducted in English, French, German or Spanish. Thematic guided tours are organised on demand, such as:
“From Sylvaria to the Italian Garden” – a historical-botanic path.
“The monastic presence on the Monte di Portofino” – the historical monasteries and the events of the settlement, the characteristics of the Benedictine Order, and its artistic and architectural expressions.
“The tapestries and the fittings” – path on the Noble Floor, from which it is possible to admire the Monumental Garden, even if the access is not possible due to bad weather.
