Today we celebrated something of the heritage of some of our members from Africa. We sang songs in different African languages and some members joined together bringing the joy of worship in songs from their homeland. It was followed by a fabulous lunch.

Today is the second Sunday of Advent. We focused on longing for home and discovering that our true home is in the heart of God.
Isaiah wrote saying "Comfort Comfort O my people." Today find comfort in God who loves you and like a shepherd will carry you home.

Unfortunately we were not able to provide a Livestream of today's service. TC

On Sunday we welcomed our new minister Rev Tara Curlewis. She has moved from Australia to Rome to work for the next four years as our minister and as ecumenical liaison officer for the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC). This last post has been created by the WCRC in partnership with the Church of Scotland and the Waldensian Church. The church was filled with members, visitors, and friends visiting from far and wide to share with us in this joyous occasion. The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt Revd Sally Foster Fulton preached. The Moderator of the International Presbytery, Rev Joanne Evans-Boiten, locum minister Rev Dr Rhona Dunphy, interim moderator Rev Aaron C. Stevens and a few of our members conducted different parts in the service. Rev Tara Curlewis administered Communion. If you missed the service, it can still be found on our page. The service was followed by a lovely lunch on our sunny roof terrace. Thanks to everyone who helped prepare for this special day.
