Love Stayed: Today, standing before the Cross, we begin to understand something deeper: the Cross is the clearest proof that Christ’s love is not weakness, but a decision. It would have been easier to walk away. It would have been simpler to leave humanity in its confusion, betrayal, and violence. But real love does not disappear when life becomes difficult. It remains when it hurts. It comes back after rejection. It sees the wound, yet still chooses the person.
That is what Christ does for us on this Good Friday. He stays.
And because He loves humanity in this way, He also teaches us how to love one another. The Cross does not erase the wound; it transforms it. Pain can become prayer. Scars can become wisdom. And what feels like death tonight may already be the quiet beginning of resurrection.
