Rt. Rev. PD Dr. Joseph Mar Ivanios Episcopa visited the St. Thomas Malankara Orthodox Community in Italy today.

Thirumeni is currently serving as an Invited Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and is in the city for his academic engagements. He shares a cordial relationship with the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church and serves as a faculty member at the Federated Faculty for Research in Religion and Culture (FFRRC), Kottayam, an ecumenical joint program of the Orthodox Theological Seminary, the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, and the Kerala United Theological Seminary. He is also an Executive Committee member of the Senate of Serampore University.

The community extends its heartfelt gratitude to Thirumeni for his gracious visit and for the valuable time he shared with the faithful.

Today, on New Sunday, we joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Thomas, the Patron Saint of our community.
During the Holy Qurbana, we also commemorated the feast of H.G.Kuriakose Mar Gregorios Metropolitan (Pambady Thirumeni) and H.G.Geevarghese Mar Ivanios Metropolitan.

The Sunday of the Faithful Departed

Rev. Fr. Solomon Babu, Vicar of St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Vienna, Mr. Benjamin Paul Gleeson, Theology Student at the University of Birmingham, and Mr. Geo George, Theology Student at Durham University, visited the community today. They are presently in Rome as part of the Study Visit of young priests and monks from the Oriental Orthodox Churches, organized by the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity.
On this occasion, Rev. Fr. Solomon Babu celebrated the Holy Qurbana at the St. Thomas Malankara Orthodox Chapel, Rome, marking the Sunday of All the Departed Priests.
