The Order of Malta joins the appeal of Pope Leo XIV, who invited the faithful worldwide to pray the Rosary for Peace today, Saturday, May 30. Among the shrines participating in the initiative is Our Lady of Lourdes, to which the Order of Malta is bound by a deep devotion, recently renewed during the International Pilgrimage.
Guided by the Grand Master, Fra’ John T. Dunlap, in a spiritual retreat at the Shrine of Saint Carlo Acutis in Pennsylvania, we entrust our supplications to the Virgin of Massabielle, praying for an end to the conflicts afflicting the world, that all violence may cease, and that civilians and the most vulnerable populations affected by wars may be protected.

Fifty years of commitment, dedication, and concrete support for those most in need.
The celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Order of Malta Volunteer Corps in Portugal bring us back to the origins of this remarkable story, which began in May 1976 during the pilgrimage to Fatima. Since then, thousands of volunteers have devoted their time and compassion to serving others, assisting the sick, pilgrims, and vulnerable people.
An important anniversary that celebrates not only a 50-year-long history, but above all the people who every day choose to be there for others.

During the meeting with the Ambassadors of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations, the central role of the UN and multilateralism in promoting peace, international humanitarian law, and the protection of human dignity was reaffirmed.
The focus of the meeting was the strategy aimed at expanding the Order's diplomatic relations to strengthen its international presence, also with a view to improving its status within the United Nations.
Thanks to its neutrality and impartiality, the Order of Malta continues to operate in the most fragile contexts—particularly Palestine, Ukraine, and Lebanon—combining humanitarian assistance with international advocacy in support of the most vulnerable.
