For Salvatorian sisters in Brazil the month of June is time of deep reflection and celebration of Salvatorian mission. And this year it means much more as the sisters are celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Salvatorian presence in Brazil.
May their testimony and Sacrifices they bore in making the Savior know bear fruit in abundance.

O Mês Salvatoriano é um período de profunda reflexão e celebração da missão da Família Salvatoriana no Brasil. Neste ano, o tema que nos ilumina é: UM PEREGRINAR DE COMPROMISSO, PROFECIA E ESPERANÇA, que é o tema do Jubileu dos 90 anos da presença das Irmãs Salvatorianas no Brasil.

Esse mês nos convida a revisitar nossa identidade cristã e salvatoriana e reafirmar nosso compromisso com a evangelização e a promoção da dignidade humana. As palavras chaves deste lema são elementos essenciais na trajetória da Família Salvatoriana especialmente no Brasil.

Que as celebrações deste mês, reavive em nós o ardor missionário e a profecia da esperança, para que como Família Salvatoriana, continuemos sendo sinais de vida, de esperança e de salvação no mundo.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tindari is a beloved place of faith and ancient heritage of Sicily. According to tradition, during the iconoclastic persecutions, a ship carrying a precious Byzantine statue of the Black Madonna sought refuge from a violent storm in the bay of Tindari. When the storm cleared, the ship could not sail away despite every effort, its cargo weighed down by a mysterious force. Only when the sailors left the sacred statue on the shore did the ship freely move. Local believers joyfully carried the statue to the highest hill, where a glorious sanctuary was built over the centuries. Devotees who visit Our Lady of Tindari with fervent faith find solace, protection, and answers to their deep prayers. Mary guide us on our earthly journey. Amen.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu is built over centuries in the northern forests of Sri Lanka. This is the beloved sanctuary and sweetest mother to all Sri Lankans, transcending ethnic and religious divides. According to history, during the Dutch persecution of Catholics in the 17th century, a group of faithful fled into the deep woods of Madhu, carrying a precious statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary to safety. Through centuries of conflict and hardship, the shrine became a miraculous haven of peace, healing, and shelter for millions of pilgrims. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻_ 𝗠𝗮𝘆 28, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
The Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Coromoto is built directly on the sacred site of the historic apparition of Mary. This is the beloved shrine of the people of Venezuela. According to tradition, in 1652, the Virgin Mary appeared to the local indigenous leader, Chief Coromoto, radiating a celestial light inside his humble hut. Resisting her message, the chief grew angry, drew his bow, and reached out to grab her. The Virgin Mary vanished instantly, but she left behind a tangible miracle. Inside the chief’s clenched fist was a tiny, miraculous relic: a highly detailed image of her holding the Infant Jesus. The event deeply moved the chief and his tribe, convincing them to seek baptism and embrace the faith. Mary guide us on our earthly journey. Amen.

Sr. Pat Murray of the Congregation of Jesus engaged Sisters of the Divine Savior worldwide on this topic. She emphasized that respect, intentional inculturation, and the Gospel's perspective help us be accommodating with honest hospitality.

Nestled in the bustling heart of Paris, lies the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. This sacred sanctuary is one of the most visited Marian shrines in the world, The chapel is reputed to be where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the novice of the Daughters of Charity, Catherine Labouré, in December 1830, and to have requested the creation of the medal of the Immaculate Conception. With the approbation of the former Archbishop of Paris, the first medal was distributed in may 1832 during the devastating cholera epidemic. Innumerable stories of physical healings, spiritual conversions, and unexplained protection quickly spread. Today, the chapel remains a place of profound peace. Pilgrims can still pray before the incorrupt body of Saint Catherine Labouré, O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen. 🙏✨
