This report reflects on how the Church can better respond to the intertwined cries of humanity and creation. Rooted in the Gospel and the example of the Good Samaritan, it emphasizes that listening is a spiritual and pastoral act, calling every Christian to co-responsibility. Among its proposals is the creation of an Ecclesial Observatory on Disability and the active involvement of theologians from vulnerable communities in shaping the Church’s mission.

🤝Addressing the Pastoral Challenge of
The SECAM Commission report explores the pastoral challenge of polygamy in the African context, recognizing the sacred value of the family while affirming the theological call to monogamous marriage. It stresses patient and respectful accompaniment for polygamous catechumens, placing the dignity of women at the center of pastoral care. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is highlighted as a model of evangelization incarnated in culture, inspiring a “pastoral care of proximity” that reaches all living on the spiritual and existential peripheries.
