Il Vangelo di oggi ci conduce attraverso una lunga storia di nomi e di generazioni, fino ad arrivare a Maria: ยซEcco, la vergine concepirร e darร alla luce un figlio: a lui sarร dato il nome di Emmanueleยป (Mt 1,23)
Dentro queste parole cโรจ tutta la pazienza di Dio. Una storia fatta di attese, di promesse, di fragilitร , nella quale il Signore non smette mai di essere presente. E oggi, con la nascita di Maria, quella promessa comincia a farsi piรน vicina. La Nativitร di Maria ci ricorda che Dio prepara le sue strade molto prima che noi possiamo riconoscerle.
Ci sono inizi che sembrano piccoli, incontri che appaiono casuali, passi dei quali non comprendiamo subito il senso. Ma il Signore sa raccoglierli e farne parte di una storia piรน grande.
Maria accompagni i nostri passi e ci aiuti a riconoscere, lungo il cammino, i segni discreti della presenza di Dio.

Todayโs Gospel takes us through a long history of names and generations, until we reach Mary: โBehold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuelโ (Mt 1:23)
In these words lies all of Godโs patience. A story woven from waiting, promises and fragility, in which the Lord never ceases to be present. And today, with the birth of Mary, that promise begins to draw nearer.
The Nativity of Mary reminds us that God prepares his ways long before we can recognise them. There are beginnings that seem small, encounters that appear chance, steps whose meaning we do not immediately grasp. But the Lord knows how to gather them up and make them part of a greater story.
May Mary accompany our steps and help us to recognise, along the way, the subtle signs of Godโs presence.
