Insieme ad altri volontari e studenti di Medicina, Infermieristica e Fisioterapia, abbiamo trascorso un mese al St. Gaspar Hospital di Itigi, in Tanzania, per un’esperienza di formazione e collaborazione clinica.
Durante questo periodo abbiamo conosciuto da vicino il lavoro dell’ospedale e i bisogni della nuova Terapia Intensiva Neonatale, inaugurata a luglio 2026. Oggi la NICU dispone di un solo lettino di rianimazione.
Per questo abbiamo deciso di avviare una raccolta fondi per acquistare due nuove stazioni di rianimazione neonatale. Il 100% delle donazioni sarà devoluto direttamente ai missionari del St. Gaspar Hospital per l’acquisto delle attrezzature.

🇬🇧 Hi everyone,
together with other volunteer students in Medicine, Nursing, and Physiotherapy, we spent one month at St. Gaspar Hospital in Itigi, Tanzania, as part of a clinical training and collaboration experience.
During our stay, we had the opportunity to witness the hospital’s work firsthand and understand the needs of its new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, inaugurated in July 2026. At present, the NICU has only one neonatal resuscitation station.
For this reason, we have launched a fundraiser to purchase two additional neonatal resuscitation stations. 100% of all donations will go directly to the missionaries at St. Gaspar Hospital to purchase the equipment.
