International Network of Consecrated Life Against Human Trafficking and Exploitation Talita K*m was founded in 2009.

Talitha K*m is an international network of Consecrated Life against trafficking in persons. Working as a network facilitates collaboration and the interchange of information between consecrated men and women in 70 countries. It arose from the shared desire to coordinate and strengthen the already existing activities against trafficking undertaken by consecrated persons in the five continents. Talita K*m is a network of networks, organized in many different ways, each promoting initiatives against trafficking in persons in their particular contexts and cultures. It is a project of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), in collaboration with the Union of Superiors General (USG). Talita K*m es la Red Internacional de la Vida Consagrada en contra de la trata de personas. Conecta en red, favoreciendo la colaboración y el intercambio de información, a mujeres y hombres consagrados en 70 países. Talitha K*m nace en el año 2009 con el objetivo de coordinar y fortalecer las actividades contra la trata promovidas por las consagradas en los cinco continentes. Talitha K*m es una red de redes organizadas de diversas formas, que promueven iniciativas contra la trata de personas respetando los diferentes contextos y culturas. Es un proyecto de la Unión Internacional de Superioras Generales (UISG), en colaboración con la Unión de Superiores Generales (USG).

🌍 Meet our new cohort of Talitha K*m Youth Ambassadors in Africa.

85 participants from 20 countries across the continent began a six-month training in August 2026. Young leaders from each country are now ready to work together, and develop their strategic action plans.

They come from diverse backgrounds – as students, social workers, engineers, nurses, and architects, but they share a common goal: to end human trafficking.

Responding to the appeal of Pope Leo XIV, UISG invites women religious around the world to join in an online Rosary for Peace, entrusting to Mary the suffering of peoples affected by war and renewing our commitment to building paths of dialogue and reconciliation.
Praying for peace also means allowing ourselves to be transformed, becoming instruments of encounter, listening and hope in our daily lives.

For the seven days before it, we invite you to pray with us.

Seven Days of Prayer is a short booklet from RENATE's House of Prayer Task Group, one page for each day from 11 to 18 October. Each day holds a word of Scripture, a short reflection, a prayer, a question and one small thing to do. The themes move from See and Name, through Listen, Labour, Welcome and Protect, to Loosen the Bonds, and end with Freedom on the 18th.

It is free to use, download, print and share. Use it at home, in your community, at the start of a meeting, or pass it to your parish. 🙏🫶🫶

🇲🇲 "Caring for creation and defending human dignity cannot be separated."

Myanmar’s lands have long supported communities that depend on farming or fishing for their livelihoods.

Today, the country faces a deep humanitarian crisis due to floods, landslides, and armed conflict. Over 3.8 million people have been displaced, and over 80% of the population faces poverty.

Traffickers have been exploiting this vulnerability through abduction, deception, and false promises of employment.

"The destruction of ecosystems has consequences for people's lives, rights, livelihoods, and hopes — especially for those who are already living through conflict and poverty."

Today marks the day the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees.

This year, Pope Leo’s message turns our attention to the millions of children who are forced to leave their homes every year because of war, poverty, or environmental disasters.
Beyond numbers and statistics, he reminds us: "Every child, every human being, possesses an infinite dignity. Each is created in the image and likeness of God (cf. Gen 1:26); each is a presence of the Lord."

The Talitha K*m global network joins Pope Leo in calling for the protection of every child, every migrant, and every refugee – to uphold human dignity for all, without discrimination.

Today is the International Day Against Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking of Women and Children, commemorated in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In her reflection, Sr. Carmen Ugarte García, Talitha K*m International Associate Coordinator, sheds light on what is usually left out of the conversation: “If sexual exploitation still exists, it is because there is a market that finances it."

This same day marks the 10th anniversary of RED Rahamim México, who looks back with gratitude on their journey against human trafficking. Their presence is a symbol of hope – the hope that each one of us has the power to transform our community.

🇮🇩 Talitha K*m Indonesia brought together representatives from the ministry of human rights, local government officials, and religious communities to strengthen their collaboration against human trafficking.

The event was attended by approximately 200 people. Together, they prayed, listened to survivor testimonies, and reflected on their role in the fight against trafficking.

During the event, the Indonesian Ministry of Human Rights gave a token of gratitude to the Talitha K*m Sisters for their mission. The event concluded with a joint commitment to work together to implement prevention strategies, to empower and care for victims and survivors.
