Generosity is not just about money. You can be generous in many ways, such as sharing ideas and knowledge that may benefit not just yourself but others. You can be generous and benefit others when it comes to giving your time, wisdom, skills and anything that is shareable! God even gave us spiritual gifts for the good of all.

When you choose to bless others with whatever you have, you too shall be blessed! Some people may choose to withhold certain things to benefit themselves, but God wants you to be unafraid to be generous with others. He promised that your soul shall be made fat! Be generous!

The generous will always prosper!
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

We often wait for "big" opportunities to serve God like a mission trip or a major donation but the Kingdom is built on the cup of cold water. Maturity is the recognition that no act of kindness is too small when it is done in the name of Jesus. Your life is full of tiny intersections where you can be the hands and feet of Christ. A text message of encouragement, a shared meal, or a listening ear are all sacrifices that God notices and rewards.

Your daily life is your mission field; do not overlook the little ones right in front of you. Spiritual maturity is found in the believer who looks for ways to be a blessing in the mundane moments of the day. Strengthening your walk involves a daily "noticing" of the needs around you, refusing to be so busy that you miss the opportunity to show love. As you offer your small kindnesses, you will find that God multiplies their impact. Let your life be a series of generous moments. Yield your "big plans" to the beauty of the present opportunity today.

They gave, but not with honesty. Ananias and Sapphira wanted to look as generous as others, but they kept some parts back and lied about it. Their story warns us that image is never more important than integrity.

It’s tempting to look as if you’ve got it all together; to seem spiritual, kind, and generous, when inside you’re struggling. But God isn’t looking for perfection. He’s seeking truth in the inward parts. You don’t have to fake it. He blesses authenticity more than image.
