Around 400 children gathered from 7:00 a.m. to experience a day filled with joy, faith, and inclusion. The gathering began with the celebration of Holy Mass presided over by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Javier Machado CSsR, and concelebrated by several Redemptorist missionaries.

National synodal teams across Asia have been encouraged to help dioceses address their existing pastoral challenges through synodal methods rather than adding new programs, targets, or administrative burdens. This message emerged during a discussion on strengthening synodal engagement held on September 2 at the Joseph Nattaya Conference Hall, Baan Phu Waan, Bangkok, as part of a three-day gathering of national synodal teams. The session was led by Fr. Vimal Tirimanna, CSsR., of Sri Lanka, a member of the Commission for Synodality.

For four weeks, we offered a continuous programme of activities for children and young people, with a total of 120 participants taking part. The summer began with our new democracy project, “WirbelStadt – Ideas in Motion!,” which we were able to launch for the first time thanks to strong financial support from the Landscape Association of Westphalia-Lippe (LWL).

*“Argentina: New Lay Missionaries of the Most Holy Redeemer”*
On Saturday, August 22, nine lay people committed to the Redemptorist charism and spirituality participated during the Eucharistic celebration at the Redemptorist community of Salta, Argentina, which belongs to the Buenos Aires Region of the Pedro Donders Province. During the Mass, four of them made their first commitment as Lay Missionaries of the Most Holy Redeemer for a period of one year, while the other five renewed their commitment for an additional two years.
