💚This prayer service celebrates the life and spirituality of 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐳𝐮 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, whose deep trust in the 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 inspired compassion, courage, and missionary zeal.
She reminds us today that love is not passive. Love must become healing where there is woundedness, hope where there is discouragement, unity where there is division, and courage where people fear the future.

A conversation can open the door to a life of service. 🌱

In Vietnam, our sisters marked 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 by going out to meet young people across several dioceses. The day was an opportunity to listen and share about faith, vocation, and mission.

Through booths, games, and short video presentations, the sisters shared the Good Shepherd mission and invited young people to reflect on what it means to live with justice, mercy, and solidarity, especially alongside women and children facing hardship.

Many came with questions about the charism, their own life purpose, and how they might serve. We give thanks for these encounters and pray that the seeds planted will continue to grow in the lives of those who took part. 🙏

🌍 The Second Safeguarding Community of Practice session on “𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 – 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲” was held on May 27 for the main focal persons of the provinces/regions.

It was a rich space of reflection, sharing, and learning from real experiences across our ministries and regions. Together, we continue to name silence and strengthen our commitment to safeguarding all entrusted to our care.

Our Good Shepherd mission to uphold human dignity and “𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥” continues to transform lives across 67 countries. 🌍

As an accredited NGO with UN ECOSOC Special Consultative Status, our sisters and partners-in-mission are committed to fighting poverty, promoting justice, and restoring dignity to girls, women, and children worldwide.

In Lebanon, what began as a temporary displacement has tragically become a lasting reality for over 𝟏.𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 seeking refuge.

The ongoing crisis has led to 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, with thousands of lives lost and many more injured, including innocent children and dedicated aid workers. Recent missile strikes have caused widespread destruction, uprooting entire communities and leaving countless families without shelter.

In a recent update, 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, observes the deep toll of this crisis, noting the heavy burden placed on vulnerable groups. Those with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, and the elderly face serious risks due to interrupted treatments, while children exhibit deep distress from the constant instability and fear.

As early negotiations and a recent ceasefire come into effect, we hold onto a fragile hope that this will bring a much-needed period of stability and peace to the people of Lebanon. 🕊️

Today, we celebrate 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, also known as 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, and honor the countless women and men who have wholeheartedly dedicated their lives to following the compassionate example of 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝 in the work of the 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. 💛
