During this time, the Pope calls us to reflect on water—one of life’s most precious and essential gifts. Let us pray for the wisdom to use and manage it justly and responsibly, safeguarding it as a common good and promoting equitable access for all.

¡Transformar cómo nos alimentamos no es solo agricultura: es una cuestión de vida! 🌱🌾

De cara a la COP31, impulsamos la campaña global «Jesuits for Climate Justice: Turning Hope into Action 2026».

En este video abordamos nuestro tercer llamado:
> "Fijar metas claras para construir sistemas alimentarios globales centrados en la soberanía alimentaria y las prácticas agroecológicas, fomentando métodos culturalmente adaptados de producción, procesamiento, distribución y consumo."

Transformar los sistemas alimentarios globales promoviendo la agroecología y la soberanía alimentaria implica proteger los suelos, el agua, los bosques, las semillas y la biodiversidad, apoyando los saberes de las comunidades campesinas e indígenas y garantizando una alimentación suficiente, sana y digna para todas las generaciones presentes y futuras.

Porque no podemos debilitar aquello mismo que sostiene nuestra existencia. Cuidar lo que comemos es cuidar nuestra casa común. Justicia Climática es Justicia Social. 🌍 ⚖️

Transforming the way we eat is not just about agriculture—it is about life itself! 🌱 🌾

Ahead of COP31, we are advancing the global campaign «Jesuits for Climate Justice: Turning Hope into Action 2026».

In this video, we focus on our third call:
>" Set clear goals to build global food systems focused on food sovereignty and agroecological practices, encouraging culturally adapted methods for production, processing, distribution, and consumption."

Transforming global food systems by promoting agroecology and food sovereignty means protecting soils, water, forests, seeds, and biodiversity; supporting the knowledge and wisdom of farming and Indigenous communities; and ensuring that present and future generations have access to sufficient, healthy food with dignity.

Because we cannot weaken the very thing that sustains our existence. Caring for what we eat means caring for our common home. Climate Justice is Social Justice. 🌍 ⚖️

You cannot address climate injustice by creating another financial injustice! ⚖️ 💧

Ahead of COP31, we are advancing the global campaign «Jesuits for Climate Justice: Turning Hope into Action 2026».

In this video, we focus on our second call:
> “Increase funding for countries with higher environmental and socioeconomic vulnerability, ensuring adequate, primarily grant-based support to address the serious impacts of climate change, while avoiding additional debt burdens for low- and middle-income countries.”

Because genuine humanitarian and climate support must be about reparation, not profit. Climate Justice is Social Justice. 🌍

🤝 Con el propósito de fortalecer el trabajo en red del apostolado social de la Compañía de Jesús, se llevó a cabo la visita del P. Roberto Jaramillo, S.J., director del Secretariado de Justicia Social y Ecología de la Curia General - Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat, quien sostuvo un encuentro con representantes de las obras sociales y de México para dialogar sobre los principales desafíos de la misión en el país, entre ellos las misiones indígenas, la migración, los derechos humanos y la salud.
